I certainly hope so. It's a waste of time and effort and everything else to have it illegal. I probably won't use it myself, but I have, and I found it to be fun and harmless. The wine industry will fight it and so will the liquor distillers bercause they will see MJ as competition, but I think it will pass if it gets on the ballot.

The article refers to interesting bedfellows. Iht opposition will be even more interesting, the wine and liquor industry I mentioned and churches, prison guards who will fear the loss of jobs with fewer prisoners, drug dealers who will lose a lucrative business if it is legalized, and assorted bluenoses. :D

That was one long-ass article. It took me a whole bag of Tostitos to make it to the end. Plus, I spilled bong water on my sandals.

I thought it interesting the difference in attitude that come to politicians when the discussion moves from "Freedom From Drugisim" to "Adding to the Tax Base".

Id say Jerry Brown has/had a little experience with pot and was willing to 'wink' at it because it is not going to disappear from Oakland, so why not move the business above ground and make some money?

I've been to Amsterdam and found it 'very interesting', ;)
