Hi! I'm here! Aren't you glad to see me? :)

Seriously- I have a question, and I don't know why the hell it took me so long to come here and post it. It's like I forgot I hang out on a porn board full of sexually adventurous people. The SO and I are toying with getting a liberator shape or two (it seems like first up would the wedge/ramp); we're both creaky and somewhat overweight and it seems like a good idea to help us get into some positions we wouldn't normally get into. Plus he has exceptional stamina (I'm so lucky!) which means we have to be comfortable for more than a few minutes.
So-- anyone have experience with one of these shapes? A similar product? Any words of wisdom before we plop down a big chunk of change?

And while I'm seeking wisdom, I'd love some toy recommendations. We're going to be adding to our collection(s) in the near future, and I'd love to hear what knocks your socks off. (Oh and Wenchie, if you see this thread, pm me with info on your connection!) I've got my eye on a piece of glass and a few others. We're a bit versatile on the toys, too- we like girl and boy toys. :D

Love you all!

Hey, SJ,
HM and I have the wedge, the wedge ramp, the cube and the whirl. The last is by far her favorite. With it under the back of my knees I can drive like you wouldn't believe and when she straddles it . . . I love it just as much. We, too, are well padded and that has me thinking that some day either the Esse or the competitor's Tantra chair should be given serious thought.

We have the wedge/ramp combo (with the wrist and ankle cuffs  ) as well as the Whirl. They work pretty well, making certain positions easier as well as more interesting.

Like VM, we're also thinking about the Esse chair -- once we get a bigger place.

One of my big questions about the wedge/ramp is whether it's worth the money. Alot of people say that you can just use pillows, etc for the same effect, and while that seems possible it also seems like a pain in the ass. So I'm curious if they're worth the money.

Thanks for the feedback VM and slyc. :) What do your other halves have to say about them?

Oh! And the Whirl scares me- it seems like it'd be hard to use. Am I wrong?

Pretty much. :p

The Whirl, ramp and wedge are all well-constructed and durable. They provide a lot of support and can handle quite a bit of weight and movement. Pillows can do some of the same things, but pillows have a tendency to move around. For the most part, even when putting it on the bed, the wedge and ramp stay still.

Oh, and Secret loves the furniture. ;)

Good to know. :) The staying still part is especially good to know. I'd hate to have something that kept scooting and sliding all over the bed.

Well, of course it depends on what you have beneath it. I wouldn't recommend silk sheets. ;) We usually use the wedge and ramp combo either on the comforter atop the bed, or on the living room floor. The height's perfect when I'm on my knees. :D

Hey SJ, long time no see. :rose:

I have a large sturdy rectangular coffee table with a thick padded top sitting at the foot of my bed. I got the coffee table at a garage sale for a few bucks and spent a little more for the padding and cloth to cover it. It makes a nice place to sit or kneel when in it's normal position and a thousand and one uses when it's pulled out in the middle of the room. I also added a few D-rings here and there for optional restraints. ;)

A large over stuffed chair is another good piece of furniture or even an old chaise lounge. If my chaise lounge could talk.... Oh yeah, it can, if you've read my two stories about it. ;):D

As for toys, well, my favorite among all the ones I've tried over the years has to be the Twig. It can double your pleasure in several ways.

HM hasn't much use for the wedge or the ramp . . . or didn't until we discovered another way to use the wedge. Her fav is the whirl while she's on top.

Get the wedge/ramp combo, do not hesitate. Much, much better than using pillows. We have on of those "pillow top" beds and eating pussy was a real pain in the neck. The wedge puts her at the perfect height and I can eat all night long with no neck pain. The ramp is great for rear entry on the bed or off the edge of the bed with me standing on the floor. If you are into light bondage get the black label set. Unfortunately our bed room is not big enough for the larger items but I have my eye on the whirl that others have mentioned.

Well worth the money, the covers are machine washable with your regular laundry. Creams, lubes, and cum wash off with no stains. LOL

They are having a sale on the Esse right now if you have room for it.

We saw an Esse at a store the other day and weren't totally in love with it. I think it'd be okay but not WOW. On the other hand, we loved the ramp and wedge and cube in the store and are looking forward to purchasing them soon.

You can use the ramp and wedge together to mimic a lot of what the Esse was designed for. I figure the Esse is simply more comfortable because it's curved and a bit softer. But really, using the ramp and wedge in conjunction -- and sometimes with the whirl -- achieves many of the same effects as the Esse.

And fit much better into the closet. *nods approvingly*

I'm guessing these things are probably inspired by therapy devices: there is a huge variety of such shapes to be found if you look.

I guess that because I saw an inflatable wedge about the size of the larger one depicted on the liberator site at a thrift store, and immediately started coming up with "therapeutic"uses for it.

Of course, it was blindingly bright Yellow, with all sorts of printing on it, suggestions for use, none of which were as interesting as the ones I was thinking of, but it had the virtue of being waterproof so you could use it in the tub if you're into that sort of thing.

Here's a couple that look promising: the contour back support,, shich is similar to the Tantra chair in design, although I'm not sure how firm it is, and a floor wedge, using frame and sling construction.

I have a hydraulic tubing bender, so I'm always coming up with crazy sex furniture.

"If correctly viewed, everything is lewd!":D

If you're not a cheap ass bastard do-it-yourselfer like I am, you might find something here - I kind of like this chair.

I like things that look like something else, it's hard to explain why you have an iron rack hanging by chains from your ceiling.

My favorite piece of sex furniture is a stool I bought for my son, very similar to this tonier version: Stone Stool - The shape is almost identical, but mine is bright yellow and has Spongebob Squarepants face printed on the top, lol.

Stick a suction cup dildo on it, and it makes for great DP, you can vary the angle, depending on where you stick it.

Not sure if it would work on the Stone stool, although it's a little classier.
