It's been a fairly dry winter here in southern Florida. For the past month it has been bone dry. We've been dealing with brush fires on an almost daily basis because of this drought.

This evening though they are forecasting a nice line of storms to come through and linger for a couple of days.

Right now I'm listening to the rumble and grumble of thunder to the north of us and I can hear the sound of a light rain on the tin roof of my trailer. (It sounds nice.)

Here on the Treasure Coast, we've had one T-storm, a real frog strangler, and a steady drizzle afterward. It's headed your way, I'm guessin'. :D

We sure do need it.

When I was a little girl....it rained every evening .....we would sit in the Florida room and watch the lightening and the sky.....I still miss Fla...so much! And I am so sad that it doesn't rain like it used to.

I sit on the lanai and watch the storms roll in...lightning...thunder...wind...palms whipping back and forth...totally awesome.

When there are storms that is. :(

LOL

That sounds familiar.

This winter reminded me of the old joke out of Arizona.

A couple were looking to buy a house. They found one that looked nice and after talking with the owner were about ready to buy it when the owner noticed the wife looking at the roof. He asked her what she was looking at and she asked him if the roof leaked.

Leak what? he asked her.
