Yeah, I got fed up with the negativity, especially after spending so much of my time writing for who-knows-who so they can jack off. It took just one more on top of the others to drive me away. The feedback can get to be so vile at times, and for reasons I cannot begin to fathom.

So I gave a new website a chance, one where I won't be bothered.

And as I began posting stories, in particular the Castle Keep series, I realized something. What I had written would never had been what it has become if not for the feedback of the readers. So many chapters were written because of questions asked of readers.

Now I am beginning to understand the love/hate relationship of feedback, and the freedom to give it. It can nurture or suppress, piss off, surprise, or fuel.

Okay, so I have written a few chapters while I was gone, and will post.

Great post AS

I was pleasantly surprised at the conclusion you arrived at. I look forward to the 'vile feedback', that I'm sure is coming my way. My first submission was rejected, but, I'm not giving up. I have more stories.
Thanks for keeping us aware that feedback, can be an important learning tool.

And this is why I shared, so others may brace themselves for the worst while also realizing the benfits.
