Hey everyone, thanks so much for the well wishes and good mojo! I'm back home and suffering from a hefty dose of jet lag.

My lab results just came in via email and...it's benign! Hooray!! (It's a little scary when the doc's looking at your ultra sound and saying, "Hmm, I don't like that.") I have to give all of you crazy Litsters and your positivity credit for this good news. Mil gracias amigos.

No turkey sandwich to be found - apparently hobbits are not big on gobblers. Cupcakes were also tricky but fortunately I have highly trained cake senses.

(Attached is a photo of me taking down my prey on the streets of Remuera.)

4 bubble baths in 1 1/2 days. Could be a record.

Sooooooooooo tired, head aching, must sleep but first...*SQUEEZE*...that's a huge hug for SW for starting that lovely thread for me, it really did cheer me up.

Sweet dreams and congrats to Satin on the girl-in-waiting!

That cupcake looks absolutely terrified. It must've been a good hunt.

(Maybe we'll get another fic out of it.)

So glad to hear it. :D And I love that picture. Your face is like, "Yeah, I'm gonna rape this cupcake. Right here, right now."

What a relief! That's fantastic K. I'm very happy to hear that everything is okay.

:)

So happy to hear this! Thank you for posting, and I am glad that you found your cupcake :D

(Great pic, by the way. I see the fear in its' swirly icing.)

So glad to see everything went well . . .

except from the cupcake's perspective that is.

So . . .

is a kooky like a cookie, but you changed the spelling to put me off track? *suspicious glare*

You're welcome, and we're glad jet lag is the *only* thing you're suffering from.

Cupcake rape... shades of "American Pie!"

I am very very glad to hear this.

Benign shit is really really REALLY annoying when all the worry and wait is tallied up. I didn't have to travel internationally to deal with it, which would just about put my tolerances over limit.

Good news indeed.

Yay for the good news! *hugs*

where's my mangoes?

I sent them via UPS, (United Palm tree Service), they should arrive in three to six months.

So . . .

I'm shocked cookie, I mean truly cookie shocked that you would cookie accuse me of cookie something so base cookie as that kind of cookie manipulation!

Thanks Netz, (and everyone!). Yeah, it was the waiting and not knowing that drove me spare. It sounds horrible but you almost want there to be something wrong so you can justify all the stress and, for me, travel and expense. Then, at one point in the exam, when the doc was showing me the lump on the ultrasound and explaining why she was concerned about it and why she thought I should get further testing, I thought, 'OK, I take all that back, I really, really don't need justification!'

I must give huge kudos to the Kiwi medical system though. I know I sound like a broken record but the quality of care I received was almost too good to be true. You couldn't have picked a physician more suited to my personality, either. She was a born comedian and we spent half the exam cracking each other up. Today I shall mail thank you cards to all involved.

Sadly, the state of Kiwi cupcakes is not as rosy. I scoured half the city to find the one in the photo and...please, you call that icing? I'm thinking it may be my mission in life to teach the New Zealand people about the proper cake-to-icing ratio.

Oh, and I can't remember how many times I was asked what part of the States I was from. I answered, (in a thick, southern accent), "Does it really matter? Every part of the good old U-S of A is better than this backward little sheep humping piece of nowhere. Say your prayers hobbit 'cause this country is next on our List of Places to Liberate!"

(Kidding, kidding, kidding! Stop with the rock throwing!)

Did you miss me? LOL

Why do I have cookies on the brain?

Better than having brains on your cookies. *eww!*

This reminds me of a book I saw while on the cupcake hunt, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Has anyone read this? It looked hilarious but the price was a little steep for a new copy, (NZ$30!).

Is that the one that features the Monster's Ball? That would make it the source for the aphorism, Pride goeth before the Ball, no?

*staring open mouthed at picture*

Hell, if I had known you were THAT good looking, I woulda come with you.

That cupcake got it good.

Not nearly enough icing, though, I agree with that.

Grrrrrrrrooooooaaaaannnnn.

Seriously, you have to love the opening line: ""It is a truth universally acknowledged that a zombie in possession of brains must be in want of more brains."

Oh the cupcake suffered. There was licking, there was biting, there was torture! "That'll teach you to have insufficient icing, slutcake!!"

Actually, considering the egg fetish in this hemisphere, I was just glad they didn't put a fried egg on top of the icing.

Funny note: I went to get my hair cut and I apologized, (yes, I am Canadian), to the stylist for the abysmal state of my locks, explaining my small island situation and all but I don't think she really got it.

Stylist: So, who cuts your hair there?
Me: Um, me.
Stylist: How?
Me: With some household scissors.
Stylist: *Gasps and looks horrified*

Stylist: So, Keroin, what kind of product are you using?
Me: Shampoo
Stylist: Oh. *Starts scratching items off mental list of things she wants to sell to me* What type of shampoo do you use?
Me: The brand they sell in the store, I can't remember what it is.
Stylist: *Mentally removes me from mailing list*

Stylist: You'll notice that I haven't cut it quite as short as you showed me and the reason for this, as you'll see, is that when I blow dry and style it, it will sit perfectly at the length you want.
Me: Uh...um...OK. *Considers telling her that the only time I've used a blowdryer on the island was to dry a pair of underwear, that got caught on the line during a rain storm, before I went out for dinner but then think I've probably hurt her enough for one day.*
