For all of you who haven't had a chance to vote yet, I ask you to vote. It doesn't matter if you vote for me or for someone else nominated, just vote.

We are all writers here. We all love to write as much as we love to read. We all work hard to create, develop, write, and edit a story. Our good work should be rewarded by a vote.

I voted for those whose work I've enjoyed. I even voted for Many Feathers as the most influential writer, (I like his stories) figuring I wouldn't have a chance in Hell of winning. Now, I wish I had voted for myself (sorry Many Feathers).

Nonetheless, I've enjoyed writing the 602 stories and 69 poems. It's a thrill to be nominated when there are so many wonderfully talented writers on this site who weren't even nominated. I don't understand that. Yeah, I do understand that. We all have complained about the lack of votes and comments compared to the hits. Now, here you have a contest where you all can show your support by voting and very few of the thousands of writers who write and the many more readers who read the stories on this site have taken the time to vote.

C'mon, this is your small chance to make this site better by encouraging those who have been nominated by your vote.

It doesn't matter if you like me. It's not about me. It's about my stories. In receiving more than 10 million hits, I've touched a lot of people. I've read some of their glowing comments of support. Yet, where are those people now?

We who write here are not paid. Your vote of support is all we receive that allows us to know if you enjoyed what we have written. I've always been a fan of this site. I have always appreciated having a place to post my stories.

I may not be the best writer here, but with my body of work, stories and poems that have hit every category dozens of times, I think I've done my share in deserving the nomination of the Most Influential Writer and Poet. I just need you to vote.

I've included the links above to make it easier for you to vote (I hope they work. I'm not too computer literate. Hey, I just write this stuff.)

I thank those who have voted for me and I thank you in advance for those who will vote for me.

Wouldn't it just be easier to tabulate who's on who's favourite lists?

As it happens just one of the nominated writers was on my favourites, so I voted for her...

But I think that data-mining people's favourites would give a very interesting evaluation of most influential authors.

Freddie, personalities aside (cuz you are SUCH an asshole these days), you have GOT to be kidding me! You have written a lot of poems (some of which were actually good), but to put yourself in front of people like VampireDust, Angeline, PandoraGlitters and WickedEve??? MUAHAHAHAHA!!!

All of these people have actually influenced others much more than you could dream about. They have influenced people by not just writing fantastic poetry (which they all have) but by mentoring, critiquing, and by providing the time & effort to contribute much more than just sheer volume.

They are also ALL published, they have been reviewed and have won acclaim from numerous prestigious national publications. In other words, they are "Influential"!!! What do you have other than your 69 Survivor poems???

You can "tell" people you deserve the title, but they have all "shown" they each deserve it. ('spose you don't remember that little thing about show, don't tell??? Didn't think so....)

Hello? Duh!

I didn't nominate myself as the Most Influential Poet. I had nothing to do with the nomination. I was nominated by others.

"Thank you for nominating me to all those who nominated me."

Now, I never said that I was the greatest poet nor have I written that I am the greatest writer, but I was nominated as the most influential writer and the most influential poet. Those are two different things entirely than being the greatest writer or poet.

Perhaps, had you voted for some of those you suggest are better poets, but none necessarily more influential, they'd be running against me and beating me.

Thank you for posting to my thread.

It would be helpful in voting if you could provide us with some samples of your influence, both as a poet and a writer. Perhaps you could point us to some other works with similar ideas, meter, images, etc. Thanks!

Thank you

It would be wrong of me not to acknowledge all of those AH regulars who have kindly voted for me as the Most Influential Writer and the Most Influential Poet.

I'd like to publically thank:

Crimson Maiden
Desert Pirate
Dr. Mabeuse

Thank you so much for your votes and for the kind e-mails you sent me telling me that you voted for me. I'm so honored and touched (sniff).

I don't have to do that, since I've already been nominated. Perhaps, you should have asked me before (lmao).

Maybe, next year, someone will nominate you for something...I doubt it, but you never know.

We all can't be the...Most Influential.

Thank you for taking the time to post to my thread. I appreciate your response, no matter how insulting it was.

Of course, you don't have to do it. But, um, you asked us to vote for you. And you think you deserve the nomination.

So you think you're influential! Tell us how.

Insulting? Sorry, I missed that. Which part did you find insulting. If somebody else had asked for my vote, I'd have asked them the same question; why vote for you?

Actually, you're free to vote for whoever. I didn't ask for your vote. I asked you to vote.

Have a nice day.

Yeah . . . my mistake. ;)

Hey, you're free to vote for whoever you want. I just asked everyone to vote. Sure, I stuck in my own thread a request to vote for me. Shoot me for that.

Yet, here you are trying to stir up some shit when I'm only playing by the rules of the competition and it's not much of a competition if no one votes.

If you have a gripe about who was nominated and who wasn't nominated then, next year, make sure you vote for your nomination.

You have no one to blame by yourselves for not voting, as obviously, you aren't voting now. And guess what...I just may win and if I say so myself, deservedly so, especially in the Most Influential Writer category.

Even the illustrious Dr. Abuse wrote that I deserve to win in his personal e-mail to me.

This thing should be done playoff style, is all I'm saying.

Nah. Freddie would never go for that. "Sides, I pretty damn sure that WickedEve would not just kick his ass, but spank it for him, too!

Hey, I'm just an innocent, albeit talented, bystander.

You guys nominated me. Thank you for your nomination by the way, Safe Bet and 006. It's much appreciated and for your votes, as well. I'm touched (sniff).

Yeah, by the time you guys conduct your investigation, I'll be picking up my trophy. Hey, do I win any money or just fame?

Yeah, lots of fame. They are going to honor you by letting you be the pivot man at a leathermen convention. Enjoy!

Thank you, that's so exciting. It gives me something to look forward to.

I received a nice PM from your mother. She voted for me.

Well, judging by all the votes and attention I'm getting, it's true what I've believed all along.

"They love me! They really love me!"

Yeah, it's not easy being not only the Most Influential Writer but also the Most Influential Poet out of nearly 40,000 writers. It's not a responsiblity that I take lightly.

Once crown the King, I plan on make some changes around here. If you want to be part of my entourage, I suggest you all start kissing my ass as well as my feet.

"It's good to be the King."

Sure, I stuck in my own thread a request to vote for me.

I didn't ask for your vote.

And on the third hand...

Yet, here you are trying to stir up some shit ...

And guess what...I just may win and if I say so myself, deservedly so, especially in the Most Influential Writer category.

Stir up shit? All I asked you to do was explain why you think you're deserving.

Or Nuernberg Trials?

If it just points to how ludicrous the contest setups here are, it will be worth the wake-up call.

Yeah, sure, Ace, it's different when the contests were skewed against me. Now, that I'm winning, it's ludicrous.

It's the way you said it, you smug ass.
