I hated the whole Karate Kid series, with an absolute passion. i was studying martial arts at the time and just found it deeply insulting. The chick was cute though

I liked the first one - the rest were lame. Course, I had a crush on Ralph Macchio way back when.

happy saturday morning everyone.

1030 am and it's over 70 degrees already. almost too hot too quickly...........lol

have some windows open but are trying to keep the house cool when it hits 85 today so we dont' have to turn too many fans or the air on.

did the paperwork this morning. am going to go do my sewing in a little bit and then at 3 hopefully watch the penguins put the nail in the flyers coffin.........lol

happy Sunday everyone! Looks to be a decent day here after a rainy, thundery Saturday. Man, were they ever wrong on the weather. Like that's a surprise. Though I have to say that with all that rain everything has greened up so nicely and the Serviceberry tree out front is getting ready to bloom, and the lilacs are full of big purple buds...I can't wait!

Sorry to hear about the op, LM. Hope you're feeling a little better today.

well let's see yesterday the penguins finished off the flyers and advance to round II!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we hit a all time high of 88 for the date. today is suppose to be just as hot.

i think humidity is on the rise today too. you can just feel it.

think i'll continue on my quilt this morning before the afternoon gets any hotter. but that's between loads of laundry......lol


then i'll watch the dega race and hope dale jr can get out of his slump!

Freudian slip? he he I kind of wish we'd get a rainy, thundery day here, but it's unlikely. Still, I'm glad to see some more reasonable weather - sunny but breezy yesterday, in the high 60's most of the day. {{higs!}}

Had a fun time at the baby shower yesterday - my friend always puts on a good party and I saw a lot of friends I haven't seen in ages. My friend's daughter is a having a girl, so there was lots of pink!

Today, nothing much exciting - maybe a long walk, hit the grocery store and stock up for the week, and do some reading.

We had a nice time at the folk's. Dad fried up fish, snapper that he'd caught down in Texas and it was really good. He did fries, too, really crispy and salty...mmmm good. It was a nice evening.

Mmmmmm, the snapper and fries sound so good! I'm glad you had a good visit with your folks.

I bought some Jennie O turkey burger, which came already seasoned with taco seasonings. So all I had to do was make it into patties and cook it up. Believe it or not, I had two of those little burgers on some romaine lettuce with spicy mustard, and they were pretty tasty So I give the seasoned ground turkey two thumbs up. (Probably helped that I had an apricot ale with them)
