Just saw a clip of this on the news and was absolutely surprised when tears began rolling down my cheeks.

A Confirmation that truth and beauty is all ye need know.

So I'm a wuss; sue me. ( I forgive you for everything Ogg; Britain does have Talent!;))

I apologize...I had browsed the forum just moments before and did not notice.

Dear Selena, hearts everywhere are reaching out to you. Know that nature provides grief to tell us that we are alive and have values. This too, will pass, of that I am certain.

sr71plt beat you to it...

But isn't she something? Made me cry, too. Not that that's hard to do lately. :eek:
:kiss::rose:

Yeah, that's the problem with how you title your threads. Some people will miss them (I did for a while because I figured it was an annoying political thread). I tear up every time I see her performance (and the judges & crowd reaction). I showed it to my daughter today so she'd learn that you don't judge people because of the way they look. Then I realized she said she had, "Never been kissed," and my heart really ached for her. My oldest sister has always been heavy, has a bit of a bad temper, and has never had a serious boyfriend (she's now in her mid-50s). I couldn't help think of her as I watched this amazing woman who probably has had a very lonely life.

I have no one on ignore, but I do not read or comment on several here and the, 'Cynical' post was one of those.

There is, however:)))...something to ponder concerning the almost unanimous acclaim for Ms. Boyle, skeptics and cynics aside for the moment, and that is, a human, universal ability to detect and enjoy, truth and beauty; in this case, a lovely voice that touches each and everyone in about the same way.

Why?

You can't back out and run away from this, your words and appreciation, as were the audiences, are there for all to see.

So there is, an universal, applies to one and all, sense of life/beauty, sense of life, in everyone.

How bout them apples, folks?

From what I gather, she's taken care of her mother for a long time. Now that the mother has died, I feel sure she was on the way to a life alone until this occured. I also heard she'd been signed to a recording contract by none other than Simon Cowell. :D

Keep reading bits and pieces about her..interesting...I would venture a guess that she won't remain, 'unkissed', much longer...cynic that I am...heh...;)

I hope she makes lots of money from that. I like how see stunned the crowed when she begain to sing. Never judge a book by its cover.
