As of 2 days ago, my doctors, after 2 weeks of exhausting checkups and tests, have officially declared me cancer FREE!! :D No more surgeries, and only healing this summer to deal with. I see an ocularist in September to see what my next options are! This has been a GREAT week for me!!

Deep and sincere congratulations, Carrie. Continued good fortune to you. :rose::heart:

Wonderful, uplifting news and not just for you; it gives everyone hope to know that their struggle has been successful....BTW, I have a friend who is on his second round of cancer therapy and his experience/battle is a constant source of inspiration for me....
God Bless you and your family.....

We haven't met, I believe, but I congratulate you -- and I know from dear ones close to me what you've been through. :rose:

AWW Thanks VM, How did you know that I just love fireworks and that marching bands make me swoon!!! It is always great news when anyone hears anything like that!

TE99, it is indeed wonderful news. I still have some healing to do, but I can handle it!

Thank you very much for your kind words. While it has been a tough time for all of us, the person I credit the most for keeping my head together is my Hubby. He has been my rock, my mountain, really, for me to lean on when I get down.
At the same time, I continued taking an EMS class that I had started months before finding out I had cancer. Someone else had paid my tuition anonymously and I didn't want to let whoever it was, down by not going through with it. It got really tough at times because I was also going through 6 wks of radiation therapy closer to the end of the class. I am very proud to say that I have passed the class and am now nationally certified as a cancer-free EMT.
