Ahm tempted to take my teabag to the party...

They've been recruiting videographers to go to the events for the past week. The goal is to get someone to say something really stupid.

Ishmael

Considering the people that I saw at the Orlando event that won't be too hard to do at all.

All you could see was bleached blonde women with black roots and men with mullets.. I think I saw ONE black guy. He looked pretty nervous.

And that's what scares the shit out you assholes, just common people spontaneously getting together like this.

Gotta love it when the left starts coming unglued.

Ishmael

Common people that think digital TV boxes are government brainwashing devices and books that contain "that evolution crap" should be burned.

Who's unglued again?

Come on, all this is about as "spontaneous" as a pro-Stalin rally under Stalin. Or the GOP protests of the 2000 Florida recount.

HAHAHAHAHA!

Some moron managed to get the DC "teabag" protest shut down.
The Secret Service isn't too understanding when someone throws a package onto the White House lawn. They were allowed to return after a robot was used to open the package to be sure it wasn't dangerous..

I'm sure the "right" here will insist that it must have been some ACORN plant.

You just have to love the organization of the event..

The big event of the day was to be the dumping of one million teabags. The Washington Post notes that this was originally supposed to happen at the Potomac River but was shifted to Lafayette Park because of issues of legality. And seriously, why anyone thought it would be legal to further pollute the Potomac is beyond me.

But! As it turns out, the alternate plan -- 1. Take a million teabags to Lafayette Park, 2. Dump them on a tarp, 3. Yell at them, 4. Clean up the teabags -- also isn't happening, because of permit issues.

According to reports, the truck filled with teabags pulled up to Lafayette Park, but didn't have a permit, and so they were loaded back on to the truck and driven off to an undisclosed location.

Another big non sequitur, what the fuck does Paul Krugman have to do with the organization of Tea Parties?

Nothing, but he has something to say about them, which is more worthy of attention and consideration than what the WSJ Editorial section has to say about them (or, for that matter, about anything); that's all. Krugman, BTW, is an Obama critic.

The crowds were a lot bigger at the Denny's Grand Slam Breakfast giveaways, and I don't recall Fox News covering that gala event around the clock.

More whining from the losers. Hope it was worth it.

No, actually that's just the preposterous and indefensible spin Michelle Malkin put on the recent DHS Assessment on Rightwing Extremism, which merely and understandably identifies vets as one of the groups RW extremists might target for recruitment.

Actually it's not. I first heard it this morning on MSNBC. I promise you that station puts no Malkin spin on *anything*....and they were equally outraged; in point of fact one of them specifically said it sounds to him like DHS is targeting talk radio and thought it was "spooky"--the entire notion of "unnamed groups" and "ramping up rhetoric". Over the next few months, state homeland security agencies are supposed to help DHS gather information about diverse conservative groups in their borders and report.

They've gone too far. Government works best that governs least.

[like who didn't see this kinda crap coming down the pipeline the very second Bush uttered those two words, "Homeland Security"]

You've decided to to take up a position far behind the curve, but I would have expected that from a benighted liberal. The heartland is in the streets today, you better pay attention.

"The curve" in America is trending left, not right. Haven't you figured that out yet?!

Waste of time.

The only people who care about the protest of the day, are those participating in the protest.

The American people are speaking today, politicians better listen.

So does that mean that the politicians should pay attention to protests that have a real, decent sized turn-out?

What's the biggest right wing protest estimated at today... 2000?

laughable...

Stock up now on firearms and ammunition before Osama Bama bans them.

Friggin' Socialisiam, next thing you know U.S.A. becomes Commies.

My local news this morning said a minimum of 3,000 today at Fountain Square, and they were going to march to City Hall.

And why do y'all keep referring to it as "right wing", aka "Republican"?

It's not about party, it's about out of control government--that would be both major parties. You're probably surprised to hear Democrats and other folks who voted *for* Obama will be in attendance.

They had one here in Orlando a month ago or so. About 3000 to 5000 people (depending on who you asked) were there in a city of nearly 3 million, and this was an event that covered a couple of counties..

UD keeps trying to downplay the Orlando tea party, even though it was a HUGE success.

Park officials and Orlando police estimate between 5,000 - 6,000 patriots showed up.
