EuroLit?

The Germans are only just beginning to catch up with the French and the English. The French have had nudist hotels for nearly fifty years.

The English (and French) have had nudist clubs for nearly 100 years.

Recently a man walked nude from Lands End to John O'Groats. He was arrested several times but managed to get all the way there.

 Yikes! Do you know how cold and wet it is in Germany most of the time?! Nude hiking? Brrrr!

Just remember, with those hot young chicks come the old fat ones who think they're young and hot ... and the old men who ogle them. :D

Although some old men ARE drool worthy.

Sounds like it could be a second Naked Party room. They should call Molly for a consult on staffing....:D

I love the link Bear. But eastern europe still scares me. i saw hostel and it reminds me of the BDSM Board

Never really thought of Germany as Eastern Europe, though I suppose it's on the border of it. To me, Eastern Europe is the old Warsaw Pact countries (which included East Germany, I know, but I tend to think of it as starting with Poland & going east from there).

I certainly wouldn't call Bavaria Eastern Europe. It was posh clear back in the '70's when a friend of mine was stationed there. Wonderful place . . . though I must agree with the doubts of the benefits of nude backpacking. Haven't these people ever heard of melanoma?

You have to have sun for melanoma I think.

Hey! We have sun in the summer time. :p

Most of the summer, we have highs in the 80s and lows in the 60-70s. For about two weeks each summer it gets into the 90s, and the locals act like they're all going to die of the heat. It's just fall, winter and spring that are rainy.

Hm, I don't really see the link to Eastern Europe either, I'd say we are more to the centre. The backpacking routes are meant to be in the Harz mountains, close to where I live actually, and that is mainly forest terrain, so lots of shade - and ticks and insects, so I don't really see the fascination there either.

Hell no Germany is not in Eastern Europe.

Sorry, just wanted to butt in with what everyone else has already said.

Yes, please don't tell the Germans they're Eastern Europeans.

Too late, we already heard it it seems...

Germans from the old Western Germany still sometimes say they live in Western Europe, after the reunification we usually say we are Central Europeans, and nowadays even the Polish call themselves Central Europeans. Take a look at a map, Europe ends at the Ural mountains, and if you devide it in three equal shares even most Baltic states are Central Europe!

Saying this, an Eurolitogether sounds very good, at that hotel or at someplace else. :)

I was in that part of Germany a couple of years ago and found it scenic and the people wonderful - as is the beer. I haven't figured out what the secret ingredient in the diet is there, but I found that it had a favorable effect on my skin.

We have made some good friends there who are hoping to visit the US this year. I hope to get back there again.
