Yes... the humor in that, though, is that busybody claims to be Jewish and the Jews are stereotyped in western culture as cheap and stingy. Conversely, many Americans think that niggardly has some connection to the word nigger (it doesn't; in fact, it is actually old English and goes back to the same root as to 'renege'). So the humor in it is two fold :-D

In America the word Nigger has really only one meaning and it is intended to be derogatory toward blacks. No other ethnic slur is so heated. For myself I do not get mad. I laugh about it. Words can never hurt me.

Seriously, though, the word nigger has become some sort of taboo, the biggest insult that can be laid at someone, and yet... why aren't terms like 'spic' or 'wog' or 'chink' or 'kyke' treated the same way? They are equally offensive and hurtful. Its a strange issue.

My own thought is that somewhere along the line it goes back to the unique relationships between blacks and whites in American history, as opposed to whites and blacks in other countries like Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, South Africa or western Europe.

My mother is white and my father is coal black. I'm a nice purdy milk chocolate. I inherited my moms white features but I inherited my dads big cock. All is well.

That being said, it's a perjorative and shouldn't be taken in any other way. When I use the word, and I have, I mean it in a very personal way towards the individual I'm speaking to. It is my sole intent to insult, anger, and provoke that individual regardless of what race they may happen to be. If I were Japanese I'd use something like 'giajin' instead. However an american calling another american 'giajin' probably would only get one a questioning look from the intended subject.

There are people that tell me, "You can't call someone that!!!!" Well, yes I can. I can also call them bastards, cocksuckers, or any other perjorative that I think will have the desired effect on that individual.

It's when you apply a perjorative, any perjorative, to an entire group of individuals that you're really going over the line. Now it becomes a blanket condemnation of people which you have no personal knowledge of.

I have never understood my own cultures, both white and black. Growing up I was never allowed to use racial slurs or my dad would of beat my ass. I really don't care if anybody does really.
