Okay, I'll admit it, this is a shameless plug. I don't usually do this sort of thing, but do to having few votes on a new story I have written I figured I would plug it here.

It is called A Mommy's Valentine and has been submitted to the Mature category. Yes, it has a Valentine's theme to it, but no, I did not submit it to the contest.

Any feedback (be it here or in the feedback portal), as well as votes, would be greatly appreciated!! (I am aware of a tiny typo near the end of the tale where I have "is" instead of "his", and have submitted an edit to correct that error!)

How do you submit an edit, once the story's been posted?

Submit it the same way you would a new story only with - EDITED after the title (so if the story was titled This Is My Story, then when you submit an edit, you'd alter the title to read This Is My Story - EDITED.) Then just paste the text or upload the edited story and submit it as normal.

It'll take about the same amount of time that it would for a new story to appear.

Couple of points though. Why post in 'mature'? I know he's older but the focus of your story is her pregnancy. Without being rude to guys, doesn't their involvement diminish a tad once egg and swimmy thing have found each other? Given that 'loving wives' is a pirhana pond, perhaps 'romance' would have been most appropriate - it is a good romantic tale.

For me, a bit too much hotel description which slows the story down a bit.

Really enjoyed the storytelling and intimacy and dialogue. You write the dialogue between the couple beautifully. Glad you flagged it here, I'd have been sorry to miss it. Write more.

Well, when you write a sweet story like this one, you should be out plugging shamelessly. I really enjoyed it! I never, ever, ever look in mature so I wouldn't have found it. I did leave a vote and comment. Joyfully.

Wow, what a nice surprise when I came to Lit today. I thank you all for the feedback.

I would like to reply to the question about my category placement. I was torn between Mature and Romance. The story is based off real events from my real relationship with my fiancé. (Kind of a romantic "future" married Valentine's date.) In my opinion, the "mature" category aspect was very appropriate for this tale. I do think I'll be writing more about us in future tales...

I SWEAR I left a comment, but I left the page up to re-read when I could focus more and really enjoy it. When I went back I saw my submit page still up (for comment) but thought I was just in the middle of 'walking' back out of it to the main story page. But then I noticed my comment hadn't posted.

I have tried FOUR times to submit a comment, I do it all the time when I read a story I enjoy, I'm not a novice commenter. FOUR times it failed to post and keeps popping me back to the review page. Grrr!

I need to go to bed, I'll try again tomorrow. Who knows, I might wake up and see I've overloaded your comments! Well, if I did just delete most of them.

I just didn't want you to think I was lying. I did try! Honest! And the story is great.
