Did Fetlife have a crash?

The reason I'm asking is...I had a conversation going on with someone and all of the sudden, the whole thing is gone. Just a couple of days ago, there were messages from her to me and from me to her, and now...they're gone.

But, just those and no more, so I'm thinking there was a server crash or something and they restored from a backup that was before my conversation with her started?

Now, the problem with the above is, I don't remember her name. Our little talk hadn't been going on that long, and I actually didn't think it was going to just vanish into thin air, either.

Does anybody know...is there another way for this complete conversation to just vanish, that I'm not aware of?

No worries about hijacking, and yes there are some who left here to go there. But, there are also some who are in both places.

This thread might be of better use to you, for finding those who have left or are sharing the two places. I think many have used their same nicks, but some haven't.

Chicklet is over there, and she's doing just fine, from what I can tell. She started the above thread. I think it's worth it to at least check it out. I don't dislike it, but I prefer here for different reasons. Fetlife does have it's good points. You might find it to your liking. Many have.

Yeah there is a huge Fet thread. There is one group called Literotica who talk about why they left here and went there. That was interesting. But the majority post on both. The whole group thing is cool. I couldn't have a conservative thead here without most of the liberals here joining in. Here every thread is in the public eye. There you have to join a group to be able to post in it. And it's a lot more localized if you are looking for that.

So, if someone deletes their profile, does the complete conversation go "poof" too? I can't find her profile...if I'm even looking for it, correctly.

But, if a conversation does get deleted when a member of the conversation deletes their profile...well, that might be what happened.

Oh well. No great loss. Been there-done that, and even got a T-shirt.

No, I checked all of that before I even started inquiring about anything. I didn't have any idea what had happened, and knew I could have done something like that very easily. I always check for my own mistakes before I ask about someone else. LOL.

Yup, this person asked for a friend request as we were getting along great in a group I post on, I added her, she messaged me asking if she could adopt me cos she likes me so much, and now I can't find her anywhere.

Her posts have disappeared from said group, her message has vanished, she's missing from my friends list.

It's like someone deleted her =/

That site does some strange things. To delete all of someone's posts from a group...that would sure confuse the other members.

But, I'm thinking it was something like you say...the person just deleted her profile, for whatever reason, and everything related to her vanished. Like she never existed...Oh, I've got visions of a science fiction movie plot.

Read what Chicklet posted. I think that might have been what happened, as strange as it seems.
