I know I'm not due until April 8. But that's two weeks from now... *whine*

My daughter (7) has a friend's birthday party this weekend, and has had the invitation for the past two weeks, and every day, it's "Is the party today?"

I know how she feels!

Let's get this party started, baby!

So I need a distraction... I've washed and folded and cleaned and dusted and polished everything... checked everything off my list... and now it's just the waiting... that and the peeing every three seconds.

Anyone wanna guess the date and time this little Aries is gonna arrive? Weight/length, too, what the hell... I know it's a boy (but hey, if you don't trust the u/s tech, and have a feeling it's a girl, say so, anything's possible!)

Let's see... I suppose it would be helpful to know my pattern. Baby #1 was born ON her due date. (Only 5% are!) 7lbs 6oz, 20 inches. Labor time: 12 hours. Baby #2 was induced 2 weeks early. 7lbs 11oz, 21 inches. Labor time: 8 hours. Baby #3 was born 7 days early. 5lbs, 18 inches. Labor time: 10 hours. Baby #4 was born 5 days early. 9lbs, 12oz. 20 inches. Labor time: 6 hours. All were natural births, no drugs, the last two were born at home.

Here are my predictions for this one:

April 3
10:26pm
Boy (I'm going with the u/s ;) )
8lbs, 10oz
20 inches
Labor time: 8 hours

April 2nd (my mum's b-day)
8lb 7oz
22inches
5 hours labour

Got any names lined up yet Selena?

Yeah, but we're not telling until he's here because my niece stole the name we'd chosen for this baby two months ago when she had hers!

Don't cha just hate that!!

Is this kinda like a football pool but for girls! :D

I'm terrible at this sort of thing, so here it goes:

April 4
9 lbs. 5 oz.
21 in.
5 hrs.
And boys are hard to get wrong on the u/s, so going with a boy

And congratulations early. :rose:

March 31st
9lbs8oz.
22 in.
4 hours labor.

Don't they say that the more kids you have, the faster it gets and the bigger they are? ;)

Can't believe your niece stole the name you chose! That's a bummer.

Yep, that's what they say! Let's hope the former is true, but the latter isn't, considering the last one was almost 10 lbs!

As for my niece... yeah, coulda killed her. And with these hormones running around, I say that in all seriousness...

I'll play:

April 1st
2:27 a.m.
Boy
8 lbs, 12 oz
21 inches
Labor time: 6 hours

Who knows? You had that five pounder in the middle, so maybe not. My first(and only) child weighed almost ten pounds, can't imagine having another be bigger than that. Though, I did eat like a horse back then.

April 3
4:00am
Boy
9lbs, 8oz
21 inches
Labor time: 8 hours

and

April 3
4:10am
Girl
8lbs, 8oz
19 inches
Labor time: 8 hours, 10 minutes

(Yeah I know I'm wrong, but I could never resist a good MUAHAHAHAHA!!!)
:D

Plus you deserve it for the 8 - 12 hour delivery time crap. Mine took 23 hours, dammit!

4 a.m. *groan* I hate those night labors. Soooo exhausting. I forgot to say, the others were born (in order) at (approx) 4pm, midnight, 2:30am and 2:30pm. I like day labors WAY better!

(I haven't had a marathon labor yet... they say fifth babies are weird... not that I'm hoping for one! booo hisss!)

You need to treat it as some kind of a creativity exercise. Challenge yourself to not use the same combination of swear words when you are telling your spouse EXACTLY why this is all their fault and how you are NEVER going to do this again as long as you live. (while diligently trying to crush every bone in their hand during each contraction!) :D

The first 12 - 16 hours are pretty easy after that you have to work at it... ;)

Due date for a baby? Freddie G. assures me you aren't even pregnant.

It is possible to be half-honest ( there are many ) but I have not yet run into anyone who was half-pregnant.
;)

My shot:
March 30
0300 3AM for some of you
9LBS 4 OZ
22 inches

4 hours

Ohhh sure give with one hand... 4 hours

And take away with the other... 9LBS 4 OZ

He also believes someone sent him a $5000 check for not winning a contest - not that he needed it, of course, Mr. Warren Buffet himself is jealous of FG's wealth, according to FG...

Try not to argue with the delusional. It only confuses them. :D

I think you should avenge yourself on the niece and name the baby the intended name SHE stole and make her all mad because now your baby shares her baby's name and isn't unique! HAH! :D

So what was that name? Maybe we can make you feel better by telling you you're better off naming him something else? ;)

Lukas

AND we were naming him after a friend who passed away. She said it was different because she spelled it with a "C". (Lucas.) Whatever.

She's just SUCH a little attention hound... she knew exactly what she was doing. And I'm just too old to deal with the games.

Besides, our new name came rather fortuitously, and I like it more, for sentimental reasons... so :p to name-stealing family members.

I do wish you the best Kid ;)

I took a cue from the wife, only count the hard part ;)
She's going to shoot that sucker out like a cannonball

I wrote a story once that had a Civil War 10 pounder cannon in it. Hmmm. think I might need to upgrade my birth weights a little bit!
