A Dukedom? A Barony? Who knows? But we do know that whatever title this LITEROTICA giant receives it will be well merited.

We will issue updates as new information is received.

After much musing on the subject I’ve decided to start this thread that I hope will offer my fans some insight into both my stories and the Literotica site in general. At the same time I hope that what follows here will also turn out to be a gold mine of information for future generations of serious English Erotic Literature scholars.

On this thread I hope to (among other things):

* Reproduce reviews and critiques of my stories that have appeared here and elsewhere,
* Give updates on worldwide sales and vote figures of my work,
* Comment on important political questions of the day,
* Help improve this site by giving timely advice to Manu and Laurel,
* Publish my picks for winners of various Literotica contests,
* Discuss advanced sexual techniques,
* Share e-mails I’ve received from my fans,
* Help fix the shambles that is the Contest system at Literotica,
* Give advice to aspiring young authors,
* Pose the hard questions we all have for our leaders,
* Preview coming ‘Scouries’ stories,
* Analyze and do my best to solve issues that are perplexing Literotica authors,

And of course finally, to provide background information on my stories. To take the reader behind the scenes, to give him or her an insight into the genesis of my plots and my characters. To give the reader the real story and talk about the real people who inspired and appeared in my greatest works.

What you are endeavoring is far too broad in scope for just one little thread. Perhaps you should consider developing your ideas through a personal blog. They're really quite easy to set up. You could alert your fans through your story webpage here on Lit and they could easily post questions and feedback directly on your blog, sign up for feeds and email alerts. It would be a lot more intimate than what you have going here.

I'm sure your friends here at Lit, SR, Michchick, Tx, and all would tearfully lay a wreath right here as a fond farewell. [sniff]

Just to prove to you that I'm honestly evaluating your covers, the only thing I can find wrong with that one is that the title doesn't pop out enough from the image. The author tag is pompus, but that fits scouries.

I would assume that the image fits with the story. It at least fits the title. It's titillating without being vulgar. The image is clear, the title and tag line are in good position not to compete with it, but flow with it.

Pop the fonts a little to give them some depth, and this one could actually be a far better cover than the story probably deserves

Well, Selena is evidently half the forum, so I've lost track of who all she is. At the rate SR is going, he'll soon be the other half. I like SR too, but I think I would need to write better before I could be him. As long as no one accuses me of being BFW, scouries, or sarahhh, it's all good.

In other news, it's actually starting to feel like spring here. The tulips are up, the trees are budding, and it's light when I get up in the morning. It's still in the 30s-40s, but the sun is shining, the grass is green, and it might become warmer soon, maybe, one day. Are you in the south, where it's already headed for summer, or do you share my yearnings for spring?

Thread jacks are a spectator sport around here, but they have no problems pulling the thread back to it's regularly scheduled nastiness. A mainstream publisher wouldn't take it as a cover, I don't think, because it's too much like a wall poster--too busy and sharp-focused and, yes, they'd want the title (and the author's name if it was anybody of commercial value) to pop right out. The cover image is to arrest attention, but the display type is to set the information in the browser's mind.
