I had almost forgotten about Literotica. I almost forget a lot in the world, lemme tell you.
A friend of mine(who became a friend of mine through a strange twist of fate, the same twist which also brought me to this forum) messaged me today asking me completely out of the blue to advise her on bdsm.

She knew nothing of my lifestyle and now while this is happening, it all comes flooding back.
I told her all that i could think of right off the bat and of course, I directed her here.
She of course already KNEW about you wonderful lit kinksters and i had almost forgotten.

I've forgotten a lot in the past few months. It's both saddening and encouraging all at once.
sad to think I've caught daily life amnesia, and encouraged to think I still have a chance at playing in the bdsm sandbox again.

I hope Im not too late for that.

Anyway... on her behalf, her friend is meeting a 6 Dom who has been in the scene for about 6 years for a little training, they met on craigslist.. and he is offering to pay her, does anyone find this bizarre?

First of all, welcome back. Perhaps you'd not *forgotten* as much as mentally put some things aside to deal with other, more pressing matters in life? (At least, that's much less damaging to our egos than to think you'd forgotten about us... )

As for your friend's friend who's meeting a Dom who is willing to pay her to train her... Ummmmm... YES. I find that very bizarre.

  1. If someone were to ask me, as an experienced Sadist/Dominant, to train them in a non-relationship status as a submissive/masochist/painslut, they might offer to pay me, but I'm not going to offer to pay them so I can have the privilege of sharing my experiences and knowledge.
  2. "They met on Craigslist." Alarm bells ringing shrilly and LOUDLY! Cops all over the country are using craigslist personals to run games on people and make prostitution arrests. If he's offering to pay her, this seems like an excellent opportunity for her to do some jail time...
I would advise her to RUN, not walk, away from this "opportunity" unless she has some foolproof way of making sure he's not a psychopathic creep or a cop (and yes, I know it's hard to tell the difference sometimes). BTW, the old "Are you a cop?" "Noooo, I'm not a cop." routine that everyone thinks will save one's ass from a prostitution/soliciting rap is bullshit. Cops ARE allowed to lie and say they're not cops in, I believe, 47 of the 50 states.

ETA: I need to clarify my "psychopathic creep/cop-hard to tell the difference" comment above. It was NOT intended to denigrate all law enforcement officers, whether past, present or future... only the relative few who have disgraced their brothers and sisters "in blue." I have the greatest respect and admiration for LEOs who perform their office in the way it should be performed, and the many who go well beyond what is expected "to serve and protect."

A little "training" to be what? Do what? Perform where, and how?

I always chuckle when I hear that sort of thing.

As for the concept of paying, that goes beyond chuckle to guffaw.

i knew i could count on your 2 cents.
the advice is much appreciated, believe me.

This.

That situation sounds rather bizarre.

There are pro subs out there, there are guys who are happy to pay for anything.

Have her be safe for goodness sakes and figure out if she wants to be paid for a form of sexual interaction she's not that versed in according to what you say recreationally.

I mean it's already off the bell curve.

I fully agree with what the others above me says.....it does sound bizzare!

I have had some offers of 'Doms' (I use that loosely) wanting to pay me so that they can 'train' me a few times and this was from CollarMe or Informed Consent - shock, shock!!

Of course, I never bothered to reply.....I mean....why??!!?? *shudders*

But of course, it might be worth it for your friend to approach this with caution and ask for evidence that he is really into BDSM and to ask for references, maybe, from other submissives, and things like that.

:rose: good luck! :)

There's all kinds of hemi-demi-semi prostitution going on at CL. THe denziens of a whoreboard I frequent have an enormous thread dedicated to " CL college girls" and "sugar daddies". The idea is that these aren't professionals, just girls making a little money on the side and hopefully enjoying themselves from time to time.

This sounds like that with a twist of BDSM. I don't see why it's any more sketchy for a female to get paid for vanilla sex by a sugar daddy than it is to get paid for BDSM sex.

I was thinking cop, personally.

Please note the ETA in my previous post in this thread, which is quoted below:

Nothing is impossible on CL, of course, but I think the cops-at least in metropolitan areas-have their hands full with the real prostitution rings, when they choose to get involved with CL.

There's nothing weird at all about a dom, or a wanna-be dom paying for it. Maybe he's married. Maybe he's ugly. Maybe he gets off on paying. BDSM has filtered down to the common man. It's not an exclusive club anymore.

Roscoe i hear you on this one, im a total CL stalker and this sounds about right. The girls are very greatful for all your insight, as am I*
hopefully they come out of it with fond memories. I gave them the best advice i could as far as safety. I was actually thinking about maybe one of you doms in the NY area, I could set up a play date for them, both very sweet eager girls who would do well to have a real experienced dom to play with (and sub to go to for advice)

I would be wary of the payment thing. As Netzach said, there are paid subs and there is nothing wrong with it, but to offer money to a novice who does not have a lot of knowledge/experience seems more along the lines of offering money and then reminding them they are being paid so they should accept whatever is dished out as they are tied up and having the skin/flesh whipped off their back...high risk IMHO. Hope I am wrong, but is red flag area to me.
