The Holiday Worlds of Old (OOC)

Looking to start a thread that centers around avatars of the various major holidays in the world. The story itself does not take place in the real world, but rather in a dream world where the inhabitants are all related to their particular holiday (I.e. Elves for Christmas, ghosts and ghouls for Halloween, etc). I gotz the idea from watching The Nightmare Before Christmas, and I decided to run with it a bit.

The Avatar of Halloween

Name: Prue Halliwell
Title: Queen of Halloween Town
Age: Eternal
Height: 5'8"
Hair: Light blue/green
Eyes: Violet

Personality:
Prue Halliwell is headstrong and vivacious, caring but often times aloof of the problems facing others.
She is not, however, without a sense of humor, and will often play pranks on others for her sole amusement.

Abilities:
Flying (Broom) - Prue can fly through the use of a magical broom
Dispersion* - Prue disperses into pure shadow energy, allowing her to move anywhere within Halloween Town at will.
Levitation - Without the aid of her broom, Prue can float up into the air just a few feet
Shadow Bolt - Prue can fire single bolts of dark energy at her target.
Fear - Prue can cause her current target to flee from their "greatest fear" for a short while.

*Dispersion can only be used within the borders of Halloween Town

All of her magical abilities, save for the use of her broom, are linked to her home world. Her power is either greatly weakened or magnified, depending on the time and distance spent away from Halloween Town. ​

Personality:
Ailill is a mixed bag, as all Leprechauns are wont to be. He is civil and polite, but can occasionally tend towards secretive and shy. But always his mind ticks with a tricksters cunning and his eyes often reflect that intelligence. He has a knack for appearing where you don't want him or don't expect him, and he loves nothing more than pranks and games. Even with this streak, he's honest and good-natured, and has a large distaste for confrontation and danger.

Abilities:
Vanish - Ailill is able to vanish into thin air, and you would do well to always keep your eyes on him if you wish to keep him in one place, for he is able to dissapear the second your eyes leave him.
Invisibility - Ailill can move without being seen, keeping himself permenantly from view.
Hypnotism - The leprechaun has the ability to entrance with a glance, able to ensorcel those who look straight into his eyes. He can hold people in place with this skill, one of the risks of holding him in your vision to stop him from vanishing. He can also fool people into believe common items such as rocks are gold, and pay with them accordingly.
Luck - Although not a controllable skill, the Leprechaun is supernaturally lucky, and it often seems as though the very universe bends it's will to aid the little mischeif maker

The Avatar of Valentine's Day.

Name: Amora (Amy) Valen
Title: Queen of Valentine's Town
Age: Eternal
Height: 5'11" barefoot, 6' 7" in her boots.
Hair: Black
Eyes: Blue

Personality: Amy is indeed the avatar of her Holiday, even though lately she has worn a darker visage. She is upbeat and perky, though capable of being extremely "snarky". Over the centuries she has changed her appearance, currently she is in a "Goth" phase.

Abilities:
Cupid's "Bow" - This is indeed the projectile weapon of Love. In the Human world it is a weapon to be reckoned with. In the land of the Eternal it is a bit of annoyance. It's effects are temporary to those of the Holidays and can even be shrugged off by an act of will. She had to take this from another of lesser Avatars and ground him to Valentine's town for a century or two after his debacle, the Baby Boom. Amy is still trying to make up to the other Holidays for this.

Attraction- Amy is the "Goddess of Love" to Humanity. Only those with absolutely no love in their life may even think of harming her. In the Eternal, she is likable even if she can be annoying. It is very hard to build up dislike for her, but if she earns it the Eternal can look past her "charms".

Lust - This is possiblly Amy's most dangerous weapon. It is one that she shares with another of the minor Avatars of her day, Bacchus. Amy can induce a state of near mindless lust in Humans, and even amongst the less guarded of the Eternal, she can invoke a lesser lust. More than one Eternal has had issue with Amy at one point or another through the ages because of this. But it does make her fun to invite to parties.

Subtlety - Not often thought of as an attribute of Valentine's day Amy is capable of being "part of the background". It is the capacity to be right in the middle of a group and be overlooked. As Love is so often overlooked, so can Amy be when she puts her will to it.

All of her magical abilities, save for the use of her subtlety, are linked to her home world. Her power is either greatly weakened or magnified, depending on the time and distance spent away from Valentine Town. But, as it is with all of the Eternal, on her holiday she is indeed the "Belle of the Ball".

Can't say as a fact but I'd sort of see it as the current world holidays sort of being the norm unless an old holiday isn't subsumed. In example Saturnalius would be a "lesser avatar" of Christmas.

But that's just the way I would see it. It's really Tears' bag.

Title: The April Fool
Age: Eternal
Height: 5'5", though keeps snagging boots from Amora to seem taller.
Hair: Varies. Currently infatuated with blue.
Eyes: Blue
"Other": Found with Riley is a small clown doll that she calls Mister Giggles. Despite its name, the talking doll (or is it simply talking to her?) tries to be her voice of sanity and seems to be consistently depressed.

Personality: Riley finds humor in just about everything, including situations that most others wouldn't find funny in the least. Some might call her a bit sick in the head, while she simply insists she's trying to help people find the lighter side of life and the humor that can be found in it. She's rather prone to pulling pranks on others... and refuses to stop unless they either laugh, or threaten her.

Abilities:

Confusion- Riley can leave others in a momentary stupor.
Reversal- The expected becomes the unexpected.
Fun Bag- Nothing's funnier to Riley than a shocking surprise. She can manifest damn near anything from the small bag she carries on her belt, including objects that simply shouldn't fit. Larger objects, however, are harder to manifest when away from home.
Joy Buzzer- Riley has a rather electrifying handshake, if she wants one. It can be as simple as a light jolt, or enough to cause some major pain. This also has a harder time when not in her natural surroundings.

Title: The spirit of the new year.
Age: Indeterminate, or infinite. Currently however he is something under a year old.
Height: Changing. About 6'
Hair: Changing, Curently Light brown
Eyes: Grey


Aaron is the current personification of the new year. He was born on the new years day, and he will die new years eve. In between the times he ages backwards. Of course since time is so very subjective to each of the realms, in each of the towns, and far more so in his, it is rare to see him ever age if he doesn't want to. He does however often grumble about being old on valentines day.

Personality: Aaron is the epitome of new life. He is ever beginning something, cheerful, happy, and usually with a cocky knowledge that everything could be better tomorrow. His world is seen through rose colored beer goggles.​

Abilities: Aging. Aaron ages. Or can, this in itself is something to speak of.
Time Manipulation: The ever famous countdown. So much can happen in ten seconds.
Future Knowledge: Being closely associated with Two days and the cusp between them; Aaron, can see what's happening a few seconds or a few hours from now. This sometimes will confuse him a little, since he will not remember if things have happened are supposed to happen or merely could happen. If he were smarter maybe he'd understand better.

All of his abilities are vastly affected by being in other towns however he still retains knowledge of the future no matter where he goes.
