Chicago Litogether 2009

I'm sorry to inform all of you that I will not be attending next weekend... I've been battling in my mind for a week or so whether I should come to Chicago or not... Even though I do have the time off from work and finances are not a problem, this is more of a personal issue.

I've been getting closer and closer to someone from my high school class since my 20 year reunion last summer... After her divorce in December, we've planned a trip to Las Vegas together in April......

Even though I KNOW I can have a great time without anything sexual happening I also know myself and I'm very weak in that area with so many beautiful people attending.. So many intelligent people who are so attractive.

I want to explore my connection with this woman first before I entertain thoughts of anyone else and I just don't want to keep anything a secret from her as she's been totally honest with me.

I doubt I'll keep tabs here on Lit with you wonderful people over the weekend as I know it will be so painful knowing what a great time I am missing.... I've been looking forward to this trip ever since I left Chicago a year ago.... But I've had a few moments of clarity that have made me come to this decision.....

Please have a drink or two for me and certainly exchange a few pats on the tush and kisses for me in my absence... and above all have an awesome time with some of the most incredible people I've met and have yet to meet here on Lit.....

JR, I am both happy and sad you wont be in Chicago this year, happy for you maybe finding a good (or bad ) woman and sad that you wont be there joining in the jollity and japes as you did last year, best of luck with you in Vegas and hope to see you again maybe next year...

LOL damn gonna miss the Chicago heatwave by a day. Supposed to hit 73F up there...lol wtf? Been 3 straight days of rain here, with it supposed to rain all the way up till Tues morning...ugh. But at least it appears we may have better weather this year than we did last year. 40's with no snow, will take that.

I'm planning on the Field Friday morning. I figure that it will be less crowded than on Saturday. The art museum is likely to be less crowded anyway so we can do that one Saturday. Any takers?

I have to be careful how much anticipation I show cuz the folks I work with have an uncanny ability to pick up on that kind of thing. Then they start grilling me on what all is going on... and that's where I mention the planned inibriation and they all laugh it off.
