Gamer Crushes and the People Who Have Them

This thread is intended for those who know what it's like to have a crush or to really be lusting after a fictional character from a video game. This sort of thing is sometimes a bit odd to bring up in conversation, so here's a place to discuss it.

Feel free to introduce and/or gush about any character you've found yourself having that sort of feelings for.

Final Fantasy characters.

You know, I don't think I have ever crushed on a game character, even though I have seen quite a few lust-worthy characters in my games.

Here's one of mine. My crushes are not as many as some other people, but all the more detailed.

My first big gamer crush isn't a secret to anyone who happens to have read my Virtual Reality: Halo story. I think the Master Chief is pretty sizzling. This is particularly interesting considering nobody has a clue what the character actually looks like, since he wears a bigass battle armor he never takes off.

I didn't really like him until I read the books accompanying the games, but I always found the voice he's been lent by Steve Downes extremely sexy (so maybe I should go stalk Steve Downes ).

I'm still trying to figure out what exactly is so attractive about a soldier that's basically been brainwashed into service to the point where he knows nothing else - I don't usually have a thing for soldiers, or obedience. I suppose it must just be the fact that he does an excellent job at kicking ass.

I will have to say, that my knowledge of most of these characters is very limited since my days of playing much games have evaporated into almost nothing.

About the only such crushes I can relate would be pretty much the entire female cast of the Final Fantasy X and X-2 games. (Esp Yuna and Lulu. )

Basically it's Neverwinter Nights adapted to the Star Wars™ universe with The Force instead of magic.

It's a pretty decent role playing game. You start off as either a soldier, scout or scoundrel. Eventually you become a Jedi, if you want. And eventually, you can join the Sith, if you want. It's got a really interesting twist in the story. One I didn't see coming.

So last night I told Jen I had 49 characters and was gonna look for a 50th to round it out...

Well...that search left me with a list of 100 Characters (blast you Fire Emblem series!).

Before I post my list I wanted to state my criteria for it. First of all, the characters in this list had to be playable. No NPC's allowed. Sadly this means I excluded summoned characters too, such as Shiva (Final Fantasy), Undine (Secret of Mana, and Celsius (Tales of Destiny 2). Second, I excluded any character based off of Comics, Cartoons, Anime, or Movies. They also have to be from games that I've played/owned. I've never played Dead or Alive, so I couldn't list Kasumi. *cries* Finally, they have to have been given a name. Generic characters don't count. Other wise this list would have been much longer.

I'm gonna organize the list a bit and then post them alphabetically by game.

It's a shame he seriously sucked in comparison to other character choices (jedi that can heal themselves....) or I'd have had him out so much more often.

Thanks for the clip. I'm not overly familiar with Final Fantasy (actually, I resolved to stay away from it) but I can see the attraction of Sephiroth.
