You were thinking it might be a chance to meet someone you could be happy with.

So go. And don't worry. You're a lovely lady. :rose:

Why describe the eruption of Krakatoa as 6,000 times larger than the atomic bomb that destroyed Hiroshima (and when will they stop using that comparison)? Telling me that one explosion was so much bigger than a really big explosion, resulting in a really, really, really big explosion, does nothing for the human brain's comprehension. Massively big times six thousand is still just massively big.

That made me think of... "Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space." ~ Douglas Adams

Okay, I know I haven't been around but I forgot to turn AV's off before my mom got here so I couldn't check, she's open and we talk about everything but still...

Surgery went alright, pretty good actually. It only took 45 minutes for both the hysteroscopy and the laparoscopy, considering the stuff she dealt with it surprised me. From sleepy time to when I got out it was only a matter of a couple of hours and I was home by 1:30 that day. Then again I hate hospitals so I did what I could to get out...

They found endometriosis, some scarring from the endo and a polyp in my uterus. The endo and the polyp were removed and she did a D&C while she was in there. I have some cool pics of the stuff, then again I'm wierd like that, lol. She reccomends that I get on a birth control that stops my period, but said we'll discuss it at my post-op appointment. No stitches, just glue and steristrips. Mommy is gone now and I'm happy she was here and miss her but she was a big help. I am able to hold little man, though when he gets squirmy I have to put him down cause it hurts a bit when he hits the healing incisions. But I am doing well, they sent the polyp to a lab to double check stuff so I'll find that out when i go on the 9th of march...

VANA, WILL YOU EMPTY YOUR FREAKIN IN-BOX!

Damn, woman! Don't make me come over there!

I just got back from the social security office and they had this sign posted about how it's illegal to kill or assault any federal employees while they're doing their job. Uh, isn't this illegal in general for all humans? LOL. They must really piss some people off there.

My last dealing with them required 3 separate trips just to change my name to my married name on my SS card.

First time, I didn't have a copy of my marriage license, just the little card they give you, which I figured would be good enough, since it's issued by THEM.

Second time, I was armed with a whole folder full of stuff. Copy of marriage license, copy of the certificate signed by the minister, birth certificate, etc. Apparently it wasn't the RIGHT copy of the marriage license. They needed the "official" copy from the clerk of courts.

This required a trip to the clerk of courts office. THEN a trip back to the SS office, where I had to wait AGAIN.

So, yeah, murderous pretty well sums it up. I'm thinking if you have a folder full of stuff from different sources that says you are who you claim to be, they should be able to cut you some slack.

Whoa, I guess I lucked out. I just happened to bring everything I needed and it only took five minutes. Though, this is because changing my name on my bank account was such a big drama. I prepared for the worst, lol.
