I need your help!!! I am an author looking to put together a book entitled “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Bedroom.” It is a book based on true stories from contributors like you about funny, amusing, and embarrassing sex stories. These stories could be from the relationships you are in now, to relationships of the past.

If you would like to contribute a story from one of the above categories, then please e-mail me your story so that I can include it in my book. The only information I will need from you is the story, your first name or a fake name if you want to use one, and your location. Make the stories as long as you want or how short that you want, but not too long and not too short.

I hope to have the book out by spring time of this year so I hope a lot of you have a lot of good stories out there. You can send in as many stories as you want and you can use any language that you want. When I put it in the book, I will try to keep the language and the context of the story as you wrote it. If you need any more info or have any questions, please contact me.

I was thinking. We write the stories. He gets the credit and paid for it. I don't think so. Not me anyway.

Let's see, I stepped on my girlfriend's cat on the way to the bedroom. That's funny right? At least it was for me, although it totally killed the mood for her. Killed her cat too. (The old adage "do not run with scissors" should be amended to include "do not run with a woman dragging you by your hard-on.")

Another time, I ran into my sister-in-law in the hall on the way to the bedroom and accidentally (on purpose) knocked her towel off. I thought that was hilarious.

Another time I was on my way to the bedroom, but I sort of passed out hugging the bowl in the bathroom. I didn't think that was particularly funny, but my wife thought it was hilarious.

Am I in the ballpark? I could really stand to profit from my writing, or at least make as much money as Scouries does when he sells his free downloads.

As others have asked, what's in it for the contributors? As someone else mentioned here (I think it was Zeb) I currently get 100% royalties from my publisher, how much will I get from you? If the contributors are not compensated, what will you do with the profits?

You say categories as in plural, but the only category you've included is the "a funny thing happened on the way to the bedroom" category, which really isn't a category at all, but more of a title.

And why would you need to know my location? My current publisher needs to know my location so I can properly sign electronic releases for my work, and for tax purposes. Do you have release forms and tax forms available to contributing authors?

Okay, this makes absolutely no sense. If we can make them as long as we want, how long is too long? How short is too short? Is there a word count limit or maximum?

Who are you publishing through? Is it an e-book? Is it self-published? If it's the latter, who's absorbing the costs of self-publishing?

How profitable will it be to publish a book in multiple languages? I mean if you're marketing it on the internet, that's fine, but how many people really speak multiple languages enough to buy/read a book such as that? Do you know the proper conversions from say a British Pound to a U.S. dollar or visa versa?

I think the original poster just doesn't have a clue about what is entailed in an anthology like this. Which, of course, is a reason not to contribute a story.

I don't think anybody is going to contribute, as in giving away, anything to this guy. Why should we. Some of my stories have been published, and I have received payment for them. A very small payment, but actual money that I was able to spend. Other times, I have donated or offered to donate work to help causes I believe in, or in exchange for some benefit. However, I would need to know a lot more about this guy before sending him or her anything.

It might be a good idea to keep an eye on this guy.
