Ok, inspired by another thread with Netz I was pondering just how to get a realistic daily workout thing going and I think I've come up with a workable idea. It incorporates baby steps of course because sometimes your day is so messed up and hectic that you can't get in everything you want to do so......

The concept is that Dom/mes will start with suggestions for a realistic minimum daily workout that should be accomplished every day except your rest/recovery day. So a six day/week minimum and it should be able to be done indoors to allow for weather or inconvenient location. This will be the one thing that has to get done daily with exceptions for emergencies only.

So let us brainstorm up our minimum daily workout.

The other part of this concept is the Dom a day part. One or more of the dominants will post up their workout for a particular day, say Monday thru Saturday. This will be above and beyond the daily minimum which should figure into the total. We keep track of the workouts for a week and then decide from those postings what to plan for the next weeks daily routines.

This can split to make following it easier at this point where we start another thread just to post the next weeks workout routine and keep the chat and planning in this thread if at all possible.

Since this came about from the no gluten topic we Doms may also like to consider coming up with a dietary plan with the sole purpose of weaning off of those foods that we all should be avoiding like the plague and introducing healthy foods into the diet. We can brainstorm the items that participants want to get out of or in their diets and then come up with a realistic plan and schedule for weaning those things out of the diet.

For instance, it took me a whole year to cut out the gluten and I should have been able to do it in no more than a couple of months with the habit broken and everything. :(

So what do you all think? Doms I mean because I know that upon reading the title of this topic no subbie would dare to read this.  :D

1. I do not have the patience to read that entire post.

2. Are you trying to get me to organize my workouts through you, thus letting you "Dom" me?

To which I'd have to retort and stay "Whatevah!!"

Although I have been considering posting a personals ad searching for a Dominant who is adept at micromanaging to help me with my chocolate addiction/food addiction/lack of wanting to work out addiction.

Clearly I have no self-control when it comes to sex and food.

On second thought, I'll do the daily gluten free thingy with you provided you don't sneak in any other sneakyness.

Unfortunately I know you have that ability to come at me all innocent-like. I let my guard down and then you start "suggesting" things to me. "Wow Betticus that's such a great idea. Why didn't I think of that?" And then I start wondering where my own thoughts begin and your suggestions end. You're smooth like that. All stealthy and stuff. And just for the record I never went for that walk!!!!! *crosses arms*

Did UMB ever tell you about that chocolate that has the chile in it? Also, you don't have to go for the walk, sometimes the walk goes for you. One moment you're just going about your daily activities and the next thing you know you're soaking in a nice hot bubblebath with the spicy warmth of that special Hersheys chile chocolate haunting your tongue while your body feels wonderful after having gone for a nice walk. It's possible that you may have even seen some pretty birds or a bunny while out walking. Squirrels depending on what part of the country you are in. :)

I just have to post because of the whole doms only thing. It makes me LOL.

I am confused

Why work out every single day?

Is this a weight loss thread?

Dude, it's Lindt that makes that chocolate with the chile that I'm addicted to.

Now I'm wanting to go for a walk and take a bubblebath. I already have the chocolate.

I mean a 20 minute walk or something like that. For part of the day today I'll be up on the roof swinging a hammer as the windstorm that blew down my fence also tore up some shingles.

I haven't done much today either. I feel like shit tho, almost like I have the flu. This gluten withdrawal if this is what's going on is bullshit. I've been coughing so much it feels like my throat has been flossed with barbed wire, runny nose and my energy is up and down like a yo-yo.

I did manage to get up on the roof and start replacing shingles today, ran out of shingles and will have to go get some more. I spent about two hours up there I think pulling out nails, replacing and renailing shingles and since I feel like yak poo I'm counting that as my exercise for the day.

I'd like to get those solar shingles someday and do a grid tie power system. Who knows, maybe the wealth fairy will crash land in my lawn and need to be nursed back to health and will be very grateful. :)

In the past week, I ran (outside) for about an hour each day, ending up in the park down the street for chin-ups before coming home. I guess you could call that my standard daily "workout." I can't give suggestions for daily indoor stuff, because most treadmills and such just piss me off. I like to go somewhere when I run.

I also played racquetball, twice. Practiced archery in the backyard, also twice. (Normally I would do that more often, but the wind's been a bitch.) On Saturday, I played basketball in the driveway with some neighborhood kids.

Betticus, that roof repair sounds like very satisfying exercise to me.

Me too.
And I'm sick too. And Robitussin isn't doing it.
My exercise today was emptying the dishwasher. Then I went back to bed.
Tomorrow I must feel better.

I finally got to work out today. I'll end up missing tomorrow and Thursday but might be able to do some walking on Wednesday.

I had a ridiculous amount of sex last night. I'll count that as my workout.

Then I got home and ate some gluten free pretzel sticks.

I'm golden.

Is everyone on EARTH sick? It seems like it. Everyone I know is, except for M. I hope it holds for him.

I got another SCD cookbook today, the newer Raman Prasad one and I'm very excited. I think my workout will be a top down cleaning of the kitchen. I think part of what made me go off the wagon as hard as I have is that the basic Breaking the Vicious Cycle book is JUST interesting enough to feed you when you are actively about to die sick. If you don't have your meds and gut in front of you every day and you start to get bored, you go off track.

The recipes here look interesting and tasty enough to a non-gut person that I think I could stick to it better. More things for the ravenous sweet tooth that look good (technically I can't have chocolate)

I felt very vindicated reading the forward of the book. It's by a pediatrician with CD who almost had to stop practice it was so bad, who went on SCD and got better. He isn't content with the MD community's reaction to the diet (it's a fluke) and has actually done a paper with another MD, though the research money on anything that's not a marketable drug is thin. 61 percent of UC/CD pt's who are on the diet for a year report remission.

That's better than any non-pred drug results. And consistent with GUT and NEJ findings about tube nutrition and "gut rest" - it induced remissions, but when indigestible sugars were re-introduced via oral feeding the remissions tanked.

His hope, (and mine) is that someday UC/CD will be treated as diabetes is - with diet an obvious front-line component, and the chemistry of diet considered instead of the old saws and myths that if saltines seem OK they must be OK. I was told by a doctor that I could reasonably exist on white flour paste the rest of my life in a hospital. We pay these people. And boy oh boy does pharma pay these people more.

Oh and I've been doing these beginning belly dance vids atrociously badly. But I never said that aloud.
