Obama's First Prime Time as Prez...

Should you possibly have me on ignore....hmmmm...well, hell, then you still wouldn't learn that the "Pet Rock" thread just above has discussed that event.

Amicus...

Why would I have you on Ignore?

To be honest...I have been TRYING to stay away from certain threads.....they seem to cause indigestion....

The ten minutes I heard on the radio gave me the impression our new prez really needs to kick back with a cold one.

From what I saw and heard, it seemed to be the same rhetoric as the campaign promises...only now it's impending doom instead of hope and change. ;)

I question such panicky statements from a Chief Executive...especially one whose been in office less than a month and hasn't learned the ropes yet. It seemed he was parroting the headlines and the leaders of his party. Being an economic Chicken Little doesn't engender any confidence in me. :(

Show me the money.

From what I see peeking at people's cards, unless your credit score is at least 740, youre fucked in Obama World.

Unemployment benefits aint gonna cover the SUV payment, the mortgage, and the credit cards. But if you have a cushy guvmint job, youre probably good to go.

More of his "If I scare everyone bad enough" I will get what want.

Hope has turned to fear :(

Personally, I think its business as usual in DC. Obama is using scare tactics to get this “stimulus” package passed. What 3 of Obama picks forgot to pay taxes? Then he walks through the white house making fun of Fox and Rush (which we all have the right to say what we want and feel, but to me a prez should put him/her self above party lines and try to reach out to both parties. Not that bush ever tried that it was his way or no way for the most part). So I don’t see any change that Obama talked about while out campaigning. I think that DC is filled with lying pieces of crap(both rep and dem), the only person that I have any respect for is Joe Lieberman…guess the older that I get the more independent I become (sure at times there are good ideas from democrats and at times some good ideas for republicans)…

What ya think?

I don't agree with Lieberman on may issues but he is the only member of the "Thundering Herd of Dumbass" that I have any respect for. :(

Excuse me?

I cannot not seriously believe this silliness came from the mouth of someone who supports a party that has based their last three elections and almost every foreign policy decision of the last eight years on fear.

Bush used fear to get things passed or "overlooked" consistently for the majority of his presidency. Patriot Act, wiretapping, suspension of Habeas corpus, TORTURE.

McCain attempted to make everyone afraid of Obama's inexperience, his casual contacts, his funny name...

Pot-Kettle-Black is not anywhere near strong enough to express how ridiculous I find it to hear anyone even remotely associated with support for the Republican party trying to talk down about anyone for using "fear" as a motivator.

Some people believe him.

Witness Jimmy Bob's post earlier today that 'ragheads' are responsible for the fires in Australia.

Jimmy Bob is a troll. He doesn't say what he believes, he says what he believes will make the most trouble.

For some reason that made me think of this:

"Damn girl, you gettin’ high already? It’s only 2 o’clock in the afternoon. I get my shit done for the day... then I get high."

-Ordell Robbie in Jackie Brown

how about both parties are wrong? they both waste 2 much time trying to blame the other ....

yes, but now he's earning 20,000 to 100,000 per speach :)

and your point is...?

(Speech is spelled this way. You're on an Author's board; please try to spell correctly, if nothing else.)
