Watching this program, still in progress and it truly is a learning experience; an objective learning experience.

Original air date is today, Feb. 8, 09, a new episode, and well worth the watching.

Some rather startling observations, just one, which we all know, that a woman during her menstrual cycle, when she is ovulating, is more physically attractive to the male; further, the female voice rises in pitch slightly at the same time and men, when tested, responded to the higher pitched voice.

Program is two hours, just half over, so you might catch the last half...

edited to add....second hour, sense of smell, rather interesting, peaks during ovulation and, get this, an anti incest deterrent, as family members don't smell good to the female and they can differentiate between gender scents....verrrrrrry interrrresting...

edited again...well worth watching as educational and also as an aid to writing about relationships; offers conclusions on monogamy, infidelity and a host of other things many include in their stories....

My lady and I were watching the show tonight and offering our own frank views and reactions. I was more than a little intrigued by some of the conclusions made, and not exactly surprised by the "revelation" that a man's physical and sexual attractiveness can be vastly altered by his perceived monetary worth.

That's something I've always known. ;)

I thought that particular portion might be embarassing to some....ahm, so I guess the term, 'gold-diggers', ain't so far off the mark, eh?

Thank you...and sorry I had a typo in the title...something I cannot change.

I watched part of that too. It really was fascinating. Amazing how that woman's face changed, became softer and more attractive, when she was ovulating. I also found the part about how people match themselves up intriguing.

Yes, I found the entire two hours fascinating and most helpful in terms of writing just how characters meet and what happens when they do and why.

It is not carved in stone and much is speculation, but still, it was very interesting and surely kept my interest.

I thought it was a really interesting program. I love those kind of documentaries and studies of human behavior. There are some things where I would fall in the minority, but generally speaking, it was fascinating.

I would guess a lot did not have the opportunity to see it but most of those programs will be scheduled again.

The writer's seemed very intent on being objective in their presentation, which pleased me to no end and if there is any real conclusion about the totality of the piece, to me, it would be that we have, as humans, a bit more of the 'animal', left in our chemistry than is readily obvious.

I found it very interesting...

thank you
