I painted myself into a corner. I started a novella and the development of the main character starts early in her childhood. The first childhood scene is entirely non-sexual and not a problem. The problem is since I started in that direction leaving out the other events in this characters childhood that are sexual is going to leave out some very meaningful events.

I don't mean for those childhood happenings to be prurient at all, just meaningful to why this person does what she does when she's an adult, an adult that has real issues because of her childhood.

Can that be handled somehow without making this novella unpostable at Literotica? I want to share it, but I'm really stuck.

I believe that so long as your character does not engage in sexual acts before the age of 18, you should be fine. The only way to be sure would be to PM Laurel with the details and ask her.

You will have to walk a fine line, but your underage characters can be sexually active; you just can't show them being sexuallly active.

For example, you can describe an argument between mother and daughter over the daughter sleeping with everything in pants (or son sniffing around everything in skirts) but you cannot describe the actual incident that raised the parent's ire.

You also will need to be careful about sexualizing the descriptions of underage characters.

That's true, as long as you just mention something in passing, you should be alright. "Susan gladly surrendered her virginity at the age of 15, and qhickly ganed a reputation as a girl who would put out." By the time she turned 18..."

If you go into any details about those early experiences, the story wll be rejected but, if you just mention them, you should be alright.

Okay, MAYBE I can use both of those ideas. Here's what I think I'm going to do: I'm going to prototype a couple of passages then do as voluptuary_manque suggests and just submit the passages for guideline approval. After all, I don't need to describe what happened, only that it happened. It's how the character feels about it afterward that's important to me.

I guess I'll get that out of the way quickly so I can decide if I'm going to have to, to, to, I don't know yet!

Okay, time to get to work...
