Yeah, we've had all buses cancelled and trains apparently too. Went out to shop and roads are still not gritted! Not very good service
I'm not worried too much thou, we live "local"- everything within 5 min walk and its noce to have kids at home!

In a lot of ways untouched snow is easier to deal with, much less slippery for walking. In my street the worst bits to negotiate were where people had 'helpfully' cleared the pavement outside their houses, when it thawed and refroze it was black ice and impossible to stand on.
