No, we're more straight-laced generally over here. I believe your media give a slanted idea of what Britons are like. .. I realised that a long time ago when it suddenly struck me that almost all screen villains in American films had a British accent. I used to wonder why we didn't retaliate - until I realised that film makers here suck up to the US market.

As regards staying within 'national borders', that's just a personal preference.
