I lived upstate for many years and still remember the area fondly; three months of breathtaking beauty and nine months of freezing my ass off. Have you ever tried riding a motorbike (to and from work) when the ambient temperature is close to zero? It is down in the 60s here an' I won't go out 'till it warms up a bit tomorrow.

It's about as far from beach-like weather as you can get this past month.

Yes, well. I fully agree. It's been in the 70s in Phoenix this week.

But I'm traveling for work yet again. I'll be there week after next. Certainly not by choice!
