Ig Them All, Let Rory Sort Them Out

The thread title speaks for itself.

Return one and all to Lit, and place the alts and trolls upon ignore.

This place still has the magic.

Muddahs Cunt!

The magic is fading. I dream of a forum with sex, friendly people, moderators, and non-googleable posts and avatars.

Lit, like life, is dynamic. You get what you put in. It's still my favorite board, mostly because of the people like you.

Already done. Lit smells sweet to me.

You were my first favorite and are still among my favorite posters

Such wisdom from such an adorable tank and panty set!

The forum went up in 1999. That same year, we had our first "the GB sucks, this site will be a ghost town in no time" thread. We've had a "Lit GB is Dead" thread at least once a year for the last ten years.

We've had more trolls before (and less). Back in the days when people could post Unregistered, it was a madhouse. We've had more drama before (and less).

The GB is the same as it's always been. The Forum Rules are posted at the link at the bottom, and they've never changed. The only thing that changes is your perception. Sometimes you get tired of being somewhere for a long time and need to move on. That's fine and normal. But realize it's your focus that's changed.

If you want to come and flirt, that's great. There's lots of that happening. If you want to debate politics, that's great too. Plenty of that happening too. If you want to talk about your day, great. But if you come to stir shit and complain, then get bummed because of all the shit and complaints - that makes no sense. Or if you hate racist trolls, but spend all your time reading their threads and getting upset - why do that? Why not start an interesting discussion? It takes just as much effort as it does to complain, and you'll like the results more.

You have your brain, your ignore button, and your "reply to post" button. Want a good GB experience? Use your tools wisely. No one can make things fun for you but you.

I found the peace of ignore when I first came here and RoryN was second on my list. When you stir shit it just makes it worse on everyone.

A brain button would be useful for about one-third of the posters. The brain button would be a temporary fix until society is allowed to perform invasive but necessary surgery on its less intelligent citizens.

Translation: when we (trolls) see someone we don't like and go after him 24/7, and he doesn't back down, we make it worse on everyone.

None of you trolls have the upper hand here, and you never will.

Well said, Laurel.

Interesting... a Laurel sighting.

The problem with the "Lit GB is dead" sentiment is... The GB isn't dead.

It's undead.

The GB will limp onwards forever with a few good people rubbing elbows with crowds of miscreants who failed to make the cut at 4chan/b.

More of Laurel posting and complaints will go down, orgasms, salaries and vacations will be plentiful. She's like the erotic board Obama.

No pressure, but it's all in your hands!

Holy shit, a Laurel sighting.

Also, spin off's come and go. Shrug

Poor Rory. Now he's going on vacation.

I don't believe that many people have the gumption or will power to put the people they loath on ignore. They need to know if someone is talking about them, saying bad shit, etc. So, with the trolls grows the angst, and hence the ignore list. Like you, I have hundreds on ignore. It makes the board awfully slow. Every month I delete most of that list and give people a second chance, a third chance, sometimes a fourth.

But you're right. I always come back here. I love the free speech. I love not getting banned because I angered someone the moderator was e-fucking, or being dinged because I pissed off one of the moderators and his republican sensibilities. More people could take a lesson in anger-management and form from a lot of the people in this thread.

It didn't use to be like this. These days, you've got to ig alts & trolls every time you log on like basic housekeeping.

But if you keep up with it, the board is basically the same.

uh huh.... I do think this place is best, but, but you know, it's not like marriage, you can fool around on other sites.

Somebody please reply to LT's pathetic attempt at attention in his beat down and ignore thread.

:)

I missed it... he's on ignore at the moment :D

naughtycakes' body will appear to orgasm but it's really just rigor mortis.

or death rattle.

The best advice ever! Do you ever post nude pictures?

Laurel resurfaces and owns the Great Tool Rory.

So true what she said but this place has gotten worse and a lot of people have left because of tools like Sean and Rory.

I understand what a troll is but I have also seen a lot of "pest" here that complicate things by wanting to argue all the time.

Pest? Troll? Not much difference really.
