It's said that you ignore wise people at your peril.

Busybody ignored my warnings about the stock market; months ago, he bragged at me about how his stocks were flying high. Recently, he's been whining about how his plummeting stock holdings are utterly killing him. If he had listened to me and divested his stocks, he wouldn't be in this mess.

On the other hand, I have never suffered any consequence from ignoring a Litster. I avoid even asking people here for their advice, with very rare exceptions. There is no wisdom or intelligence that comes from the people I put on ignore. They have nothing to say that resembles how society works, or how it should work. I ignore them not at my peril, but to my benefit.

However, I do like the power I have over people like JackAssJim - I can set him off whenever I feel like it and nothing he ever says reaches me. He reads me. He has to read me. I define his existence. On the other hand, I don't see his posts, much less his threads; if JackAssJim died today or if he posted 100 responses here, it would not affect what I post.

As I've said before, he is the best free entertainment going these days.

I cannot for the life of me get a grasp of what he must look like or how he views RL. But here goes.

I'm quite sure he never got to eat lunch at school. I do believe he was taunted and belittled by his peers. I think his mother was dominate in his life and may have been mentally abusive to him because of the way he treats/describes women.

I picture him as a nervous little man of around 23 that uses the anonymity of the internet to boost his fragile ego. Skinny with glasses and always wondering what others think about him, sometimes faking his death to see if he can garnish any sympathy.

He has some education. I remember a thread by LT a couple of years ago about his classes. He claims to be as master of computer tech but one look at his webpage says no.

His work is most likely through an insurance company promising big bucks that sent him an email after he put his resume online with monster. He's most likely having trouble making ends meet at the moment due to the economic down swing.

I will say this. He's a small part of why I come here. Like I said, you can't get freebies like this anywhere.

I think that's probably pretty accurate. There are definitely some mother issues in there. No question about that.
And he has one of the most fragile egos I've ever seen anywhere. It's almost sad. Almost.
You can tell his computer "expertise" isn't quite right. Too high-tech.
He'd be an interesting case study.
