Ummm, your stories are FICTION. So using them as credentials for your imaginary astronaut/world renown author/secret agent/gazillionaire life doesn't impress me overly much. BTW, did you invent the internet too?

But really, all the stories on this site are fiction. Even the ones that start out with "This is a true story" are at least partially fiction. Something always has to be fudged to make the story interesting. Having said that, he has a whole listing of stories in his bio that he identifies as "his story."

Since this is an anonymous sort of a place, it's really hard for any of us to prove we are who we say we are and stay anonymous. I tend to believe him because in those areas where our experiences match, he says things I know to be true. The IC has its own vocabulary. People who haven't routinely used it tend to get it wrong. He claims a credible career path and uses the lingo correctly. He certainly has the CIA arrogance. Of course, I can't prove myself either. We all have to decide who we believe.

::shakes head:: We should all pick some one-hit wonder from 2002 or something and drop 100+ anonymous comments on the story in a day, just to prove how completely absurd the concept of this list is.

Anybody with a couple of hours to spare -- and some sort of nutty complex that makes them want to be associated with scouries -- could be on this list.

You know, I couldn't help but notice, even after two weeks of the Readers' Choice nomination threads being posted and two links on the New Stories page directing people to the threads, NONE of scouries' or sarahhh's millions of adoring fans have come forth to flood the boards with their nominations.

Matter of fact, beyond a handful (who may or may not be scouries/sarahhh with yet another alt) the only nominations scouries has received, have been from his alts.

Yet when a relatively new author gets nominated, he spouts off about the people voting being nothing but alts of that author.

Yeah, how great art thou now?

Now for the voting, which should prove interesting. I've got even money on three.
