Limbaugh, eh? Interesting, and this is not intended as a thread-jack, but...In two separate committee votes in the past day or so, all the Dems voted yes, all the Repubs, no. It went along party lines.

It doesn't mean much as Democrats hold a majority in both houses and these were committee votes only, but still, it means it would take a full fledged filibuster requiring a super majority to pass any legislation.

That, in effect, would gridlock Congress yet again and the promise of, 'bipartisan' efforts would become just so much campaign rhetoric.

That, as I understand, is what Limbaugh and others are pushing for, the Repubs offering token resistance to the Dems steamroller.

By 'retaliating', he elevates Limbaugh to a pseudo-policymaking status...in fact he's a radio commentator/entertainer.

Any 'retaliation' to silence Limbaugh makes him even more liked by those who don't like Democrats or Obama...and violates the freedom of speech granted to every American by the Constitution.

The President does not get into a pissing contest, albeit indirectly, with an entertainer...he should stay above the fray and let others do the criticizing.
