"Being whole with your hole"

I find myself curious as to why this got moved to the hangout.

It's not the best poem I've ever read, to be sure. But it's a poem, of sorts, and it got a critical response, and as such this thread is about poems, writing and critique. Nothing off-topic here at all.

Please, though. Don't explain. I'd rather just wonder. And I'll hope that if, in fact, the OP was interested in gaining critique for the piece, he or she can find it again now that the thread has been moved. I will assume the mods are at least kind enough to let people know via PM when their stuff gets transferred.

Why shouldn't I explain, if I want? Are you the only one allowed to publicly comment? Of course the answer is no. I realize we both understand that.

bijou, you could have just as easily PMed a moderator about this, rather than make a comment like this on the OP's thread. Why not just comment on the original post instead?

To the OP, sorry for my off topic comment. Please do not think of the poet's hangout as any less of a forum. The entire poetry forum is for poetry. I will send you a PM.

Thanks for welcoming the poster on behalf of the forum. Or was it just the Hangout? Hard for me to tell. If you meant the entire forum, there are a few other new poets there as well.

I seriously doubt the OP has any issues with this forum, unless it's the way the thread has now gone awry. The thread was moved for a totally innocent (and reasonable) purpose. We tend not to share with anyone but the poster why we move a thread. That seems fair and discreet; the only difference was in the case of creating the Hangout. As you know we told everyone here. And explained and explained that there was nothing nefarious behind it. Yet the snips and snarks, from you, in the Bistro and other threads go on and on. You can't be "bewildered" about drama in threads and pm's and so obviously snotty in other threads. "Bewildered" doesn't play so well then.

Personally, I am really tired of the sarcasm and the talking out of both sides of your mouth. If this is such hell, go find heaven. Eve, Lauren and I have no intention of going anywhere. This forum has always been a good place and the moderators have tried to do their best. No one until you questioned each action we take as if there were some ulterior motive behind it. There isn't. Get over it. Or feel free to tell Laurel and Manu you don't like the way this place is moderated, but for the good of the forum be a team player.

I have been in TX almost three years and I still can't get those analogies right.
Maybe it only works with natives.

OP posted his hole. I moved the hole. Someone questioned the hole. Then I moved the original hole back and left this other hole in the hangout. Then a whole lot of hole drama...
