I've done a lot of speciality painting, and recreating rusty surfaces, and chipped paint and such, is one of my favorite things.

Still one of the best print ads I ever saw was 4 panels of a woman in a one-piece swimsuit. The quality increased in each panel and they were tagged as follows.

At 150dpi you can tell that she is wearing a bathing suit
At 300dpi you can see the pattern of her suit
At 600dpi you can tell that her suit is wet
At 1200dpi you can see that the suit is painted on.

250 pages in that mag and that's the only one I remember - go figure.

The camoflage ones really are amazing!

Though, if you're going to wear underwear, make sure that the lines continue to match up when you change your pose
