Oh God I think I have found my spiritual home. A place populated by folk who care about sex as much as they care about words or, perhaps more to the point, care about words as much as they care about sex!

Please, please, can I play?

:D

(I'll quote from an email all employees at my gaff received from the facilities management bloke a few weeks ago... "We are sorry that the air conditioning is not working in the New Wing. We need a new part, which we hope to get within the next ten days. In the meantime, please bare with us.")

If you like the Editor's Forum, you'll love the Authors' Hangout. :D Welcome to the funny farm, where you can find discussions on double penetration and comma splices, sometimes in the same thread.

Hang on a minute... I see I'm in the "Editor's Forum". Is there an "Editors' Forum" anywhere? ;)

Sorry, but no. The authors have an in with the site admins and got theirs fixed last summer. I think the editors take perverse pride in having the Editor's Forum. ;)

Welcome Cattypuss!

I hope to see you engage in some jolly good banter here on the forums ;)

I hide out here! The AH is a scary place IMO, I tread very carefully in those shark infested waters! As a matter of fact, since I'm not an editor, I sometimes sit around dreaming up editor-ly questions to ask the editors just to get some conversation going on here.

Okay, so I don't really, I always ask legitimate questions -- as simpleminded as they seem! But I do always ask them here where I am always confident I will live through the experience! :)

Oh! And even though I am as green as you are, welcome!

That's because you're cute honey

The other formus swallow up ideas, and people, all too quickly. I prefer a small-town, slower-paced forum, which we enjoy here. Kinda like small-town America, although that is an icon rapidly fading as well.

None of the "Post Here Last and Win" and other such nonsense.

Yes, I'm older and beyond such crap! Oh, and I can be crotchety too. And if, and when, this forum becomes that, I am SO outta here!

PS Here's a copy-and-paste job from my intro in the Authors' hangout -

Hi there everyone.

Thanks freshface for the welcome and the thoughts in the PM you sent me.

Time for me to introduce myself...

I joined Literotica in 2001, when I first started writing rude stories (a male friend had told me he liked reading the stories on Literotica, and I found the site and had a look; I liked the stories and realised that I wanted to write that stuff as well as reading it).

Call me slow on the uptake, but its only been in the last few weeks that I've realised that there is an active forum for members (I've recently been expanding my real-life sexual horizons by dabbling in BDSM, and a search on the site somehow got me into the forum... where I found two six-year-old unread PMs waiting for me ).

Anyway.

So here I am - a 41-year-old straight woman, making - or trying to make - a new life in a new town after marriage breakdown, and writing dirty stuff again after a little break (is it just me, or is it much easier to write about sex when you're having really good sex?!)

I write full-time for a living (about totally respectable, boring stuff, for a totally respectable readership), and I do some non-erotic creative writing in my spare time, and once in a while I write something naughty and it gets published on Literotica.

I seem to be rambling...

I look forward to reading stuff on the forum and joining in with the discussions

Welcome to the loony bin, Cat.

You seem to be just the kind of person, like driphoney:rose:, who will fit perfectly in here.

I'm LadyC your friendly Mod for this here Editor's Forum:D. If you have any questions or need help with anything I'm just a PM away.

That's because you're cute honey

 We all know who the cute one is around here, sweetie.

As for rippling the waters, I can't say. I'm just a hanger-on. They let me be here out of the kindness of their hearts, a little like the student hanging out in the teacher's lounge hoping not to get kicked out! (Aren't you all proud of me? I fixed that split infinitive.)

Here, let me pull my lil plaid skirt up a bit higher ...

oh driphoney! you are such a tart

I'll split your infinitive if that skirt goes up any higher

*accidently drops something and bends down to pick it up while peeking up that plaid skirt....*

Split infinitive? Did someone say "split infinitive"? Don't get me started ...

Mr. Wildehafer has promised to split mine! I'll be meeting him out back after class.;)

But boys, let's not forget my new friend, the new girl, Cattypuss. We don't want her feeling left out. Afterall, this is her thread.:rose:

(I don't know what to make of it Catty, this is the most water rippling I've seen here in weeks! It's starting to make me feel a bit giddy.)

:nana: Happy New Years All :nana:

Welcome. Mind if we call you CT? If not that's okay too.

I think she may have left us, but you're right. "Catty" was not a nice word, didn't mean it or think it that way at all. Maybe she would like to be "Puss", got a nice double thing going on right there!

Well I will answer to almost anything....

...but my friends call me Puss.

:D

However belatedly, welcome to the fifth floor of the lunatic asylum. The straight-jackets need fabric softener, but the chairs are really comfortable.
