Ironic how stories like this bring out the same, base responses which compelled the offenders to commit their crime in the first place.

But there are times and places for responses like this.

I hold rapists -- especially such as those described in the thread -- in the same vein I hold child molesters.

It's very disturbing, but I think everyone should read it....and send comments to the Justice Department...they need to get involved.

I know it's not the type of thing that some want to hear about, especially around this time of year...but we have to let the-powers-that-be know just how outraged we are.

This was truly disgusting. It's enough to make me ashamed of my gender. I don't see how the law can call it anything but a hate crime. Most, maybe all forcible rapes should probably be considered hate crimes anyhow, if there is to be such a thing.

Tragic. I agree they're no strangers to the law.

The article said "The men, who ranged from their late teens to their 30s..." When I was in my late teens I never hung out with people "to their 30s" and vice versa outside of occasional work outings. And I don't know people who did/do. I always suspect something screwed up is going on when that happens at that stage of life.
