I don't know who was first expressed this universal truth but I rank whoever it was as the sociobiological equal of E. O. Wilson: "In this world, there are two— and only, two— kinds of people: those who live to eat and those who eat to live."

Obviously, I fall into the latter class. I'd love to figure out a way to do without eating entirely; it's such a waste of time. I've always viewed food as nothing more than fuel for the boiler. When my mind is occupied, I tend to forget entirely.

Nonetheless, thanks for the encouragement and advice. I'll explain it all to to the medical folk who attend me. God-willing, the tort attorneys will be charitable and not pursue action on behalf of any chance innocent bystanders.
