The Gov. has managed to create some interesting black market opporunities for the enterprising. And I can't wait to see how they're going to collect that iPod tax from companies that have no presence in NY. Maybe he intends to send the mob out to make 'offers that can't be refused"?

New York has managed, over the years, to virtually gut it's own upstate economy. And now, with the financial meltdown, it appears to be hell bent for leather to gut the city as well.

The only bad thing about the situation is that those New Yorkers that voted for this shit are going to be moving to other states. Unfortunately the states have no immigration protection to prevent that from occuring. (One need look no further than the Californian exodus to Colorado to see what the results might be.) There really should be a law that would make them stay home and clean up their own mess.

Watch for the crime surge next.

I find it amazing that the 'intelligentsia' will defend Darwin tooth and nail until those very same natural rules are applied to their own species. If you are an animal, derived from animals, and destined to be returned to dust, what justification can be applied to demand that society as a whole be required to take responsibility for those animals not of their own immediate family? The only arguments I know of for that particular activity are based in religious belief and we all know that religion is nothing more than a crutch invented by mere animals.
