Some saw this in the blurt thread, but I've had a couple of offers of help, so thought I'd post the info if anyone can help these folks.

One of my little boy's friends' family lost their home and everything in it to a fire last night. They were renting, so there was no insurance. I've got some extra furniture already on offer to them (couch, loveseat, table, etc.), but I don't really have any clothes that could fit them or any of their four kids.

Here's the sizes they need:

Dad: 2X shirts, 42 X 34 pants, size 15 shoes
Mom: large shirts, 13/14 pants, size 8 shoes
Two older boys: size 10/12 shirts and pants, size 3 shoes
Girl: size 7/8 shirts and pants, size 11 1/2 shoes
Younger boy: 2T clothes, not sure about shoes

Any help would be appreciated. If you can send something, pm me and I'll give you my address to send it to.

I know from experience how generous all of you are, so....thanks. :rose:

We might be able to help with some baby clothes. Also, is there a Wal-Mart or Target around there?

How old is the girl? I think I turned out to be about a size 7 when I was measured for my dress, but I'm not entirely certain and I'm not good with American sizes. (still )

But if I'm not totally off some of my stuff might fit her and I have some perfectly good things I don't wear anymore anyway.

She's only 6 years old. :)

The two older boys are 9 and 10, and the younger one is a year old.

Yeah, totally off  I'm never going to learn this.

But I'll look anyway. We should definitely have a few shirts at the least.

You were probably thinking juniors sizes. There's a 7/8 in those too. It gets confusing because it starts over, lol.

We'll do a pass through the closets tomorrow. Most of those sizes went to GoodWill some time ago, but there might be stuff left.

I'm writing down the sizes and will keep an eye out for them within the family. I've got a lot of nieces and nephews of various sizes and with more clothes than normal children need. ;)

I don't have any clothes that would fit the adults and no kids so that's out too. Would it be appropriate to send a gift card to one of the local stores?

I think that anything would be appreciated.

I'm not sure what they're going to need now, other than clothes. The company where he works (he works with my husband) has said they'll pay first/last/deposit on a new place for them as a Xmas bonus, and I know they've already received a good bit of clothes, but I'm sure they still need kitchen stuff, etc.
