It really sucks...

*Laugh* My new troll is starting his/her second run of one bombs through everything as Dark in as many days.

Everything I have will be in the 3s before long :p

Mine just hit my poems . . . .

Yes, that's right. I have a few poems posted, and they were all in the high 4.8 range until they got bombed. :p

Hey, Zeb, don't worry about it . . . it's doing well on eXcessica. :D

It would be so bad but this is like the third of fourth time it's happened. The '1's get swept and it's back up there in the top ten. Then the '1's begin again. You'd think they would get tired.

It really doesn't bother me that much...it's just that it's so silly to do.

That's really strange...I have yet to receive an order via excessica so the sales must be through fictionwise or some other outlet!?!?

The bombs never seem to vanish off of mine for months, and then the Hoover always misses a few for even longer. I must attract trolls with better proxies

The majority of my sales are through Fictionwise and ARE. I've sent out maybe a dozen total to readers who purchased through eXcessica.

All of the books at eXcessica are "through" eXcessica, actually--even when they are sold at Fictionwise and ARE. It's eXcessica that put them there and that will receive the accounting. (And you can only tell how the book is doing until accounting by how it ranks at places like Fictionwise and ARE. EXcessica doesn't independently rank book sales--the ranks shown on the eXcessica site come from the Fictionwise rankings.)

Yes, I hope so too.

By the way, I love you current AV...veryyyyy sexy. :rose:

Thanks. :cattail:

Yeah, most eXcessica sales are through our partners at the moment. We're still babies in the publishing world, and our traffic reflects it... but hey, some of our partner sales have been incredible, and that was the goal of eXcessica in the first place, so I can't complain. ;)

I have a feeling that, a few years from now, people will be talking about eXcessica as one of the 'big boys' in the Internet adult publishing world. ;)

Even if that's only wishful thinking, don't kill my buzz. :p

I'd rather HAVE one then BE one. :cattail:

I dunno, we're pretty fly-by-night, Slyc... nowhere near the "big boys" really. But I'm happy with our accomplishments, and proud, and I'm enjoying our growth, however it goes...

I have yet to find a single niche anywhere on this cesspool of stagnant data that is the internet where trolls WON'T smear their feces-riddled fingers across other peoples' expressions. They're like cockroaches, really; they live in the foulest places with ease, and they just won't go away. The best you can do is try to sic an exterminator on them, and hope the little buggers take the hint and find a different place to louse up. However, the norm is actually the opposite, as they quickly develop an immunity to your exterminators' pesticides and become super-cockroaches bent on world domination, one computer room at a time. There is only one course of action, as far as I can tell; we need to just turn off the internet. That'll show the little vermin. :D

...

Or I guess we could always ignore them. Roaches are notorious exhibitionists. If you aren't watching, they're less likely to reproduce.

What was I talking about again? o_0

You do have to admit, however, that by being unorthodox, it's getting us noticed. Why else would eXcessica be nominated for best new publisher? Why else would two titles from our conglomerate be nominated for Eppies? When you do something different, but still offer a quality product, you get noticed.

Which is exactly what you've done. ;)

I'm not saying it's time to break out the champagne . . . just keep it on ice for a while.

It would appear that my troll has followed me to fictionwise. I only have one rating and guess what it is?

Yep, we get them there, too. My two best-selling titles have a good three or four positive reviews each, yet the reader rankings on Fictionwise are anything but flattering. I chalk it up to a combination of numerous factors: not knowing what they were getting, not reading disclaimers before buying, and my style of writing, which would put a few people off.

Still, Gingerbread and Stripped are selling fairly well. They're paying for Christmas, after all. ;)

One should never make jest of the cuturally, socially, attitudinally and mentally deprived...but it's so much fun. We get the 1's anyway, so what the hell.

Hey! Orkin Man! :D

Ummm, because both contests are based on self-nomination perhaps?

But haven't the two still in the Eppies race gotten past an independent selection panel too?

Who did win the best new publisher by the way? I did think that eXcessica would have a chance for that one (because, well, it is the best new publisher).

eXcessica won the REC for best new publisher. Someone just told me that today. (I forgot to go back and check... bad publisher!) And yes, that one was self-nominated. The voting was done by readers. And yeah, I pimped for votes.

And the Eppies are self-nominated, too, in that we have to submit the entries... but the two eXcessica books going into the finals made it past the first round of judging, so that's something anyway. And we can't pimp for votes on that one!

I think how many bestsellers we've had at FW and ARE says more, honestly.

Okay, foot in mouth . . . didn't know there was a self-nomination option.

Still, you mentioned an independent selection panel. ;)

If they're still in the running, I remain standing tall as a proud member of eXcessica.

And even if not . . . .

I posted a Troll satire a while back. Unfortunately, I made the little bastid a Rightwinger, which doubled the negative feedback - and warmed my heart. It's on my 'short list' in my sig line.
