OOC/Casting call: Batman--Knight Errant

okay, so working the idea through my head...so far, I only have the title and basic concept.

Batman is the Dark Knight, a Knight Errant.

what do I mean by Knight Errant?

The Lone Knight may succeed where thousands of soldiers fail. That is the tenement of Errantry. The knight abandons everything, and everyone, to walk the path of justice. This is Batman's very nature.

I will be playing Batman. princesssexci has called Barbara Gordon Other characters are welcomed and requested.

you'd be most welcome. Princess is working on copying her bio...or making one...not sure which. I should work on mine, I suppose. For those who don't know, I find that the truest representation of Batman is actually that from the JLU cartoon. It just seems most natural for him to be dark, brooding, and easily annoyed

I'm up for this, and If you're okay with it, I'd Like to play Question, as he is a troubled man with one hell of a troubled mind which makes batman look like god.

Failing that, I wouldn't mind playing A semi-reformed Killer Croc. (Theres something wrong with his warped genetics and he's slowly dying, so he went to batman for help, and has reformed in the process, though there are times when the creature inside takes control.

Either one would work. I must admit, I'm a fan of The Question, but I also like the idea of a good Croc, since Leatherhead was a good guy lol

This sounds interesting and I might join although I do not know/remember much about the people in batman except for from that last movie... I do know the general theme of batman (duh) and I beleive I remember who Barbara Gordon is. I know who two-face is, the question and Batman's loveable butler. I can't recall ayone else although I may recgnize them if their name were to come up. Oh and of course I know who the Joker is... And robin heehee. I'd love to play a love interest for Robin.

I know that Barbara and Nightwing are or were romantically tied, as are the Question and Huntress

lol....the Question is one of those guys who doesn't fall into the hero category, but can't really be called anything else. Mad as a hatter, or so he seems at first, until you find out that he hides his face because he found out first hand just what a conspiracy will do

Training: Bruce has spent years travelling the world and training under assumed names He's trained alongside the Zatarra and Zatanna as an escape artist, among others in other professions. He uses these skills he's learned in his role as Batman, the Dark Knight.
Weapons: as Bruce Wayne, he has his charm, his intellect (one of the best in the DC universe...for a human, at least) and a great many resources. As Batman, he uses a variety of technologies in his Utility Belt and other tools. His body armor is custom made by Wayne Enterprises, the company inherited from his father, Doctor Thomas Wayne, who he early on found out was the ORIGINAL Batman. Every weapon in his arsenal is meant to strike terror in the hearts of evildoers and bring hope to the people who need it.
Bio: As a child, Bruce Wayne witnessed the robbery and murder of his parents by a sadistic criminal who later turned out to be a hitman hired by the mob. It was wearing his father's Bat-Man costume, a halloween costume the good Doctor had worn years prior, that Bruce found and eliminated his parents' murderer and those who worked with him. It was a double role for him, hiding his identity as Batman to make them think they'd killed him, and making them think Thomas Wayne had come back from the grave to kill them. Since then, he has trained with the best in the world, become a living weapon. He is a brilliant detective, which has on several occasions earned him the attention of one Ra'z Al'Ghul, an ancient man given renewal every few hundred years by something called the Lazarus Pit. Ra'z considers them kindred spirits, and even once had his daughter offer her hand in marriage to the Dark Knight.

Aka Charles Victor Szasz
A man of no powers Vic Sage returned to his hometown of Hub City to find the place full of corruption and conspiracy. As a Reporter for the Radio Station this soon became crystal clear as he found out what happens when you interfere....the hard way. Thankfully he was saved by Lady Shiva, who took him to Richard Dragon, a martial artist who had previously also trained Batman. Vic would later go on to meet Batman, who would become his secret benefactor, and through the batman and his contacts as well as through his landlord (a brilliant scientist), He developed the alias of the Question. When he becomes faceless he is paranoid and certain of conspiracies everywhere, and also a brilliant fighter. When he has his face, he is a charming, albiet clumbsy reporter Vic Sage. It is now said that it is his face that hides his true identity.

Killer Croc
Aka Waylon Jones
Croc was born with a disorder that made him a hybrid. He walks like a man, but has the skin, tail, strength, endurance and teeth of a Crocodile. Originally he was a wrestler, but he eventually dropped this to become a thief...and a good one at that....he wrestled with the Batman several times as well during his career.
Recently though, Croc has somehow gained a strange disease, which is constantly causing him pain and anguish, as well as occassionally causing him to lose his mind. Fearful about what was happening to him, he went to the one man he could trust for help...Batman...And has recently reformed and is helping rather than hindering....Something that the Batman requested he do before he'd help him in any way.
