I don't care if she kills me for starting this thread, but I love her and wanted to wish her the happiest of days (and I thought you all would, too).

Happy birthday to the lovely PoeTesse. May she have many more happy and poem-filled years.

I happen to know she likes pie. Uh-huh. So here's some pie, Tessy. I peeled every apple myself. Really. Ask ee.

And here's a poem from me to you.

God Says Yes To Me
Kaylin Haught

I asked God if it was okay to be melodramatic
and she said yes
I asked her if it was okay to be short
and she said it sure is
I asked her if I could wear nail polish
or not wear nail polish
and she said honey
she calls me that sometimes
she said you can do just exactly
what you want to
Thanks God I said
And is it even okay if I don't paragraph
my letters
Sweetcakes God said
who knows where she picked that up
what I'm telling you is
Yes Yes Yes

Birthday pie?
At least it's apple.
Happy B. Day. How old are you? I always like to ask, though not too many people answer.

Aw Tess, you sassy girl, I wish you the best of birthdays, and every other day too.

Just because I dont come around too much right now, dont for a minute forget how much I love you and care for you.

And I really did just now put an apple pie in the oven. I hope it doesn't get squished on its way to Tess. :p

I thought I had sworn off these threads,
but one for Tess is thread I'll tread.

Happy day, sweet one.

(insert your favored smilienesses)

That's a fine and awesome pie
(What rhymes with "Connoisette"?)
a trenchant metaphor one hopes
and tasty sweet I'll bet.

Happy Birthday.

I have killed for lesser deeds but who could kill the cook of such a perfect pie - lattice top even! And thank you for the poem too.

At least? What did you expect? Mince? Ask away, add me to the list of buttoned lips. Forever young. Thanks for the wishes any way.

It was a true labor of love lol. I am just about cooked out at this point. But I only have the stuffing and the squash left to go. Oh. And the green beans. And the gravy. :D

Wehey, am I late to the party?

Happy Birthday!

It's a huge cake so I didn't want to insert the picture here, but I couldn't resist this.

Happy Earthday. I wish for you that you'll stay here on the planet happily, for many more years.

Lots of cake and wine left - or a shot of Oban, perhaps? Thank you.

What a perfect cake! We should make sure the bistro has it on hand always. Thank you. :rose:

Thank you all - now, noses to the poetic grindstone.

Happy Birthday sweet woman! I have learned a lot from you over the years and am glad I still catch sightings of you time to time as your posts and poems intersect with my lurkings.....

I wish for you a year of peace and health and all of the other good things. Like Dr. Krackers which I sincerely hope are available from your local grocer.

How great to see you here! You are sorely missed. Thank you for the good wishes - and the Dr. Krackers.
