I love it when I get in a thread exchange with another author...and I'm not talking "your write one for me, I write one for you," though that is nice. What I'm talking about is when you and another author get in a story arc together and you start bouncing back and forth submitting threads in the same story arc.

mumsmaia and I got in such a contest going back and forth in Weekend in a Girl's Dorm. There's a couple times where we hit a few in a row before the other added a thread, but for the most part, it's a one-for-one deal.

It starts about HERE and goes out to thread 19.

There's been others like that; Torq and I have a nice volley going back and forth in Lawn Boy, but nothing like what Weekend in a Girls Dorm was like.

Yours was fun on Lawn Boy. I'd like to extend it. I just don't have enough hours in a day.

Well thanks! I was thinking about extending that today....I still might as insomnia seems to be kicking my ass right now.

That's a good hot series you have going on, too....I thought about throwing into the middle of it, but I'd hate to break up such a good team.

The beauty of CHYOO is that you can contribute without blocking either of us from contributing. Go ahead and add your two-bits. We certainly haven't in the last year.

I agree.

I had a vasectomy the day after Thanksgiving and it's kind of mellowed my story-writing drive a little bit. That or my muse is sad that I had the venom taken out of the snake.

Either way, I have a few ideas rolling around, it's just a matter of making them not suck.

I kinda fell off the boat for doing this....the holiday season sure as hell hasn't helped this year either...three Christmases, two birthday parties for the same 3-year old and now we're sliding into the three days of New Years Eve.

Kill me.

But seriously, I have a bunch of threads I'm in mid-update on...just a matter of finding time for Google Docs and away we go.
