I could puke.

I have to send a form essential to get a teaching license in the new state to my college - specifically to the one person in the department who hates my guts out and tried several times to have me thrown out of the program when I was still a student. I had to fight that bitch tooth and nails on every turn and succeeded despite her.

I cannot believe I'm still not rid of the wrecking influence and sabotage of this horrible fucking woman.

What the fuck am I going to do? She never even returned my portfolio, which I needed to get a job - her secretary had to search her office for it months after I graduated, and she hadn't even graded the damn thing like she was supposed to. I can't even dare to hope she'd actually fill out this form in a timely manner.

Fuck. Fuck fuck FUCK!

Everyone has a boss. Have you tried talking with hers? She failed to kick you out-you graduated from her program. I'm assuming the form is verification of your credentials? Send it certified mail and hold her accountable if she "loses" it.

Yes, it's an institutional endorsement form.

I was going to email it, since it's faster. I was thinking of CCing the head of the department on the email (luckily that's not her anymore).

Random question related to the above, if anyone knows:

Are transcripts always supposed to be sealed?

Original transcripts are demanded, and I've got some, but they're not sealed. They are originals, just in an open envelope. Would they be rejected for not being sealed? Is this even important? This doesn't work the same way in Germany, so I haven't got a clue about it.

I don't think they have to be sealed. I've handed some in that were sent directly to me with no problem...but then, it was a long time ago, too.

Yes. Most places will only accept transcripts that have been sealed, and preferably sent to them from the institution that the transcripts originated from. Its just a way to prevent fraud.

I was going to say that....that's what I've encountered over the past 5 years that I've been out of school. If a job, organization, or educational institution wants transcripts, generally they want them mailed or faxed from the school. Iowa State is nice enough to charge 5 dollars per set for the trouble of faxing or even emailing a fucking PDF of my transcripts.

Mother fuckers.

OH for fuck's sake, just answer the bloody phone!\

25 minutes of your shitty compressed hold music is more than any sane person can take.

Thanks all. I guess I'll have to spend the money and have them sent out. Gah. More setbacks.

In Germany, there's only ever one original, and the school will not just print out another (sometimes they're not even printed, they're handwritten by the teacher). If anyone needs my transcripts, I hand over a photocopy. I guess we're just not that worried about fraud.

It was tons of fun when I applied for US colleges and they kept demanding originals.

It wasn't great for me when my Australian original certificates were lost in transit by registered air mail from Australia to the UK. The Australian authorities provided certified transcripts - at a significant cost - and most employers accepted them even if they had little idea how comparable they were to UK qualifications.

The originals turned up three months after I'd arrived in the UK - and I had travelled by sea.

Forty+ years later? Who cares what grades I got in examinations that don't exist any more?

How did you get around that? have a lawyer photocopy and sign them to say they were authentic copies or something?

luckily for me, as far as i know, i can get as many reprints of my transcripts as i want...its the certificate i may need to worry about...

I've gotten to the point where my transcripts don't matter, only the fact that I have the degrees. :)

I guess once you have worked with some reputable people or companies or whatever, and they can back you up on your CV (i wont stop calling it that even when i am in the US...hehe i want to confuse the americans :D) and with references etc...then it doesnt really matter.

I enquired about how my qualifications will transfer to Florida, and i got back a long ass email full of legal-babble...i think, it confused me, but i gotta get to grips with it at some point.

I'm gonna miss this Cinnamon Buns Body Souffle when it's gone, 'cause it's been discontinued. :(

Took a while, but I navigated to my ignore list. Found another blast from the past "Brinni" and all her permutations. I'm sure you'll all thank me for dragging that out of the quagmire.:caning:

I hate opening new CDs, but I love recording them to my hard drive :D
(I just received four that I ordered off Amazon last week)

*coughs~bullshit~coughs* Nothing terrible about you darlin:kiss:

No, I'm afraid that is against the rules; people are not allowed to dislike you.
What about disappointment mingled with a half-moon of unforgiveness?

It's such a shame that there is no perfect way to share the color, tenor, and vibrancy of your feelings with someone else. No way to slip inside of them so they can not only know, but feel it taking over them. I want to say, sharing in a way that leaves no room for doubt, but sadly, it seems there is always room for that when our minds are involved.
*revelation about something else* Oh.

No, that violates subsection 3a of rule 112, as not amended by amendment 15.

There can be no dislike, disappointment, unforgiveness, distaste, disdain, aversion, antipathy, hostility, contempt, displeasure, dissatisfaction, disillusionment, disgruntlement, or disenchantment, whether mingled or separate, total or in part, or organised in half-moon, modicum, iota, scintilla, quantum, soupçon, smidgen, or tinge.

I want to cuddle and huggle and snuggle you.
