Is not be the change voters had in mind.

It turns out all the speeches Obama gave about change were not correct.

America has already had 20 years of Bush-Clinton-Bush...now you have 4 more years of Clinton.

Good luck America you will need it!

i hear that he's changing the presidential motorcade to humvee H3s.

The point that clintonian polices IS change from the current neocon policies is not the point that Obama said he would bring change.

Got it.

To early to tell but maybe you were to young to understand the democratic policies of the Clinton staff.

Many of the problems Americans have today are due to economic policies approved in the Clinton era.

The Clinton staff also had the chance to kill Bin Laden several times easily.

Such as? Or just empty rhetoric?

The Republicans also chastized Clinton for trying to kill bin Laden and blowing up an "aspirin factory". Maybe you are just going senile and forget all this.

Anyway you look at it you do not have a case worth taking to court.

You can find all the info about the Clinton era online...it's now part of American history that many Americans want to forget.

Loss of jobs, companies moving overseas, increased welfare is what America has in store the next 4 years. Large companies will not stay in America...they will move overseas just as the did in the Clinton era.

Oooohhh burn.

Of course there are going to be former Clinton adminstration people in the Obama adminstration. They have the most experience around for certain key positions and haven't been tainted by neo-cons. The rumor is that Senator Hagel will get a cabinet job of some sort.

Clinton had high unemployment? False.

Clinton had high national debt which historically means a downturn in the overall economy? False.

It's really simple, the higher the national debt is, the more interest has to be paid on that debt, instead of that money going into the economy through G contracts, etc.

Yeah, Hillary has the most experience around to be Secretary of State.

huh?
Clinton blew up the aspirin factory in Iraq thinking it was a munitions plant.
He WAS NOT trying to get bin Laden there.
The Reps chastised him for NOT taking a shot at OBL when he was in the crosshairs.

Maybe you're just a Kool-Aid drinker and refuse to accept anything critical of Herr Klinton.

It was in Sudan, and it was to deflect attention from the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

There will be a lot of this kind of thing in the next 3 years, count on it.

I was going to skip right over this since you know I'm stupid and I know I run the extreme danger and embarassment before my peers of being put on your ignore list, but having said that, I have to disagree with your premise based upon eight years of posting here and that is because there has been a consistent, unyielding love for the man and everything and everyone (hugely ironically and hysterically funny, except Hillary) around him. That love has simply been transferred to Barack and magnified to the point of diefication and the fervent, almost religious hope that he is, indeed, the answer to all our prayers.

In short, all these familiar faces comfort them, soothe them, and allow them to continue to transfer any blame and all negativity, on what came between the Clinton sets of terms...

Actually, I missed the speech where Obama said that "change" included a cabinet made up entirely of people that nobody had ever heard of before. Could you post a YouTube link to it?

The fact that he is picking people that he has actual disagreements with (Hillary, Robert Gates to name two), instead of only a room full of sycophants seems like a change for the better.

The Bush administration wouldn't even let people with dissenting views attend his speeches! Obama is letting them into his cabinet! I for one am extremely excited about that sort of change!

Hillary and Bill will have to talk about and disclose all sorts of things that they have shied away from before. That should make the anti_Clinton crowd happy. As Sec. of State, she'll have to give up her Senate seat as well. If they actually disagree on things that much, Obama comes out of this looking pretty shrewd. He can fire a Sec. of State, he can't fire a Senator.

On Gates staying on at Defense : http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1108/15807.html (could you imagine Rove allowing W. to let a Dem into his cabinet - that's change!)

He never said he was going to use only new people, he said that he was going to institute new ideas. And in large part, the change he was talking about was from Bush. McCain was going to maintain a lot of Bush policies that Obama disagrees with. He will probably even revamp some policies put in place by Bill. But when he said 'change' he didn't say 'brand new, never been seen before' - and while he will undoubtedly do some new things, he never said that he wouldn't stay with established policy (and people ) in some cases.

The right will harp on every angle they can to say that it's more of the same, but he has already embarked on his promise of change. The transparency of the transition is new. He already has a team working out how to close the prison at Gitmo - that's new. His cabinet will be diverse and have diverse points of view - that's very new! It's looking like Change to me!

Holy Shit we need more of your type of newbies.

Excellent post.

The normal wingnuts will of course ignore it or provide only snide remarks, witness beco for example, but I would love to see someone actually respond to it point by point.
