MY WISH: If somehow censorship came into fashion, could they please ban all US polictical shit from non-US countries? (sorry to those in the US who also would like to escape - there is no escape)

In Oz they have a political campaign advertising blackout for a period before the big election day (I think it is 3 days) - can someone please tell me if that applies to the US? Because by my calculations, this should kick in soon *prayer*

Sorry, no.

And then after the election come the legal challenges to the voting systems that go on for months afterwards, with hourly updates by the media...

It won't be over for a long time yet.

If censorship came into fashion, you couldn't post your gripes here, now could you?

Sometimes I wish they would ban all US political shit from all US countries.

ELECT ME ON 4 NOVEMBER and political ads and shit are over forever.

That is just plain mean. So there is no light at the end of the tunnel?

JBJ - in the spirit of all P, could you possibly keep that promise if elected?

Lisa - no escape for you.

Why, you gonna push the button or something?

Global glass parking lot. Or else there will always be politics and shit.

You mean on Political Saturday, Electioneering Sunday, and Last Chance for a Desparate Campaign Stunt Monday?

I think not. And I approved this message.

I'm just as tired of the bitching-about-political-threads threads as you are of politics.

Please explain yourself a bit further for the blondes in the back - are you saying that you want the political threads to stop, or that you want them to be gone from the forum altogether 3 days before the election, or that non-US citizens shouldn't discuss US politics in political threads, or that non-US citizens shouldn't discuss US politics when it's 3 days left before the election, or..?

I have a headache.:(

In Australia there is a blackout on political campaigning for the last three days before the poll date. It's kinda like 10 seconds think music. We get three days to mull over the campaigns without last minute stunts.

What Starrkers said :D There is a blackout on tv, radio and news. Doesn't worry me on Lit because you can ignore threads you're not interested in!
