Remember them at Disney World?

I may be showing my age...but I was just sitting here thinking that I want to go on some cool rides, and one thought lead to another....

I remember when I used to say...Thats better than an E ride at Disney!

God, I feel old.

But I still wanna go on some awesome rides....Like that one in Las Vegas on top of a hotel (or sumpthin)...

Actually its 2 rides....One ride goes round the top of the building and the other shoots you straight up (again on top of the building).....

Whats so sad... I live in Florida and haven't been to any theme parks here since I move here. The last time I went to Disney World was 1992.

I'm thinking...it's time.;)

Either that...or I need several hundred mics of acid.

Yeah, that would be good too.:D

Don't forget to rent a small child to take with you to Disneyland. Their excitement adds to the experience.

I still call a good 'quake an E-ticket ride.

Well that's easily solved. You haul along some "Graceful" chick and meet us in Vegas and we'll bring the squealing girl children to go on the rides with us!
(E-Ticket rides on acid! Woot!)

Every time I hear "E Ticket" I think of the movie Night of the Comet. One of the half-zombies in the mall calls Russian Roulette "An E Ticket attraction!"

I do remember Disneyland/world e-tickets. But when I read the thread title I thought you were talking about airline or concert tickets! Changing times and all.

MISTY

The last time I went to Busch Gardens in Tampa was 1959...admission was free back then.

I live 2 miles from the Gulf and havent seen it in years.

I don't think there is ANYTHING in the world that is more fun for a parent than watching your kidlet/kidlets go apeshit at Disneyland.

The pieplatter eyes when they get Snow White's autograph, the shriek of joyous glee when they see the ghost sitting between them in the Haunted House and hearing them sing along with the Pirates of the Caribean. It makes all of the before, during and after problems worthwhile.

(Just DO NOT take them any where NEAR "It's a Small World" - I'm serious!)

Curse you, woman! I have had "It's a small world after all!" running through my head consistently for ten minutes since I read your post, and it isn't showing any signs of stopping!

*goes mad*

Do you hear it in the squeaky little voices they use? "Nana na na na nana na na na"

Muahahahahahaha!!!!

Here's a "brain rinse" to get that song out of your head. LINK
(it's the only thing that will work - trust me!)

Yes, I did hear it in those voices.

And no, I turned on my satellite radio and started listening to some brutal metal. The Acacia Strain, Job for a Cowboy, Mors Principium EST, etcetera...

I did look. something about a llama. I didn't care enough to keep it open for more than a few seconds.

I'm really enjoying my radio's playlist today too :D

It was the first thing I thought of when I saw the post ... didn't think of those newfangled e-Tickets you get online until someone else mentioned them (maybe I'm getting older than I admit to )

And BTW ... I like It's a Small World ;)

You are one sick puppy, Nero!
He is...but there's something you should know, VM...while you may, as a person, hate Small World, your Aspergers loves it.

Or so I've discovered. All that spinning and bouncing and shimmering and color...really quite meditatively soothing if you're an Aspie.

Probably those Aspies who weren't trained as classical musicians, I'd imagine. I personally find it acustically so annoying that I'm tempted to climb out of the boat and run for the exit. :D

There are eight emergency exits on that ride and interconnecting walkways that give egress to the entrance and exits portals. Trust me on this. My girls LOVE that ride and I have made many a frantic escape plan from those damn boats!

P.S. Don't ever tell me any government secrets. The bad guys only need to take me throught that ride once and I will sing like a canary to avoid another trip.
