Would you consider changing your lit name?

Nein!

Having said that, given a "do-over," I'd capitalize the "t."

I like what trysail conveys to anyone familiar with voyaging and oceans and sailing. It brings to mind the image of a lone, well-found, seaworthy sailing vessel that is either hove-to or scudding off in the midst of a gale— holding her own in the face of the irresistable, impersonal, soul-less and implacable forces of nature.

Those who venture offshore know full well that a trysail is a necessity in any proper sail inventory.

I'm keeping mine because it matches JBJ's avatar. :D

I have this one, because the site claimed the one I use elsewhere wasn't available here. (Which I don't understand, as there's no other poster registered in that name.)

*Snerk*

Yeah, I'd change it in a heartbeat. I get plenty of PMs that begin, "So, how buxom are you?" When I registered, I never dreamed I'd write; when I began to write, I never dreamed I'd post; when I got to 100 posts, I never dreamed I'd make 1000. I think it's more of a female thing, I don't know if Box gets messages about his name (I should ask!) or anyone else for that matter
This, exactly, except my PMs are, "So, how damp are you?" I'd have changed my name long back if it hadn't been for the stories I had posted under it already. I could have taken down the stories and resposted them but I'm lazy. Also, now, it's not quite so bad.

If I changed it at all I'd add The at the beginning.
What's with cute male Brits and their 'The' fetish?

Sure would in a new york Second. Was not really thinking when I came up with this name. just happen to be what I was useing at the time on a painting I was working on.

Good thing you weren't sitting on the toilet!

Maybe it's because of "The" weather...or "The" fact we're on an island...or "The" fact that "The" French are only 23 miles away from us...we just love "The" word "The"...and we're all delightfully quirky & eccentric to compensate for all those things...:)

And it makes for more interesting conversation...LOL

I originally tried to use "Kikori Kid", since that's the name I've used nearly six years. That name had trouble uploading stories, so I changed to Kikori.

And, no. I'm too attached personally to this screen name. :p

I like Crim, but I'm not real fond of the name in its entirety. If I could think of something better that more suits my personality, yes, I'd change it.

Cory is my real first name and Lea is my real middle name. Unlike Mr. Brooke, I'm not quite brave enough to post porn under my full real name -- something about that vague "of good character" clause in the psychologist licensing laws -- but I prefer being real to being a persona. And "Corylea" is rarely taken when I sign up for an account at a new site.

ETA : Waffle is my geek name so ...

I don't mind my name. The only thing that bothers me is how frequently it's misspelled, but I can live with that.

That said, I wish I could have thought of something more original.

Nope, I like Edward Teach for posting. I like the pirate persona and Blackbeard headquartered in NC which is my home.

I began writing as Awful Arthur and have continued to use that name for what little writing I submit. At one time, I kept that fact secret, but finally came clean.

Stup Dity is also an alt which came about from a typo - stupdity. The ever vigilant CharleyH spotted the typo and asked it stup dity was my rap name. It has become so ever since.

Eddie, AA, and Stup

I might have been trying to be too clever with my screen name. But I did find something that suits me, and I have a sig line to explain the reference.

The alias I use everywhere else is unique and easily traceable to the real me, otherwise I'd use it here.

I like SN's that I can shorten - like Bel and Imp and Stella and Doc and Ami... those really long ones... I mean, what do you call them in casual conversation?? Anyone remember I_love_you_in_me? I never knew what to call her!

TGP, Thee, and Goat work for me, as do Pig, Todd (though I hardly answer to that on the net), Dude, Man, Bro (not sis ;) ), Buddy, Pal, Guy...

:D

My nick came as a friend and lover said "you are one lusty wench aren't you?" I figured if the nick fit, wear it.

I'd only consider changing it to "Troll Chow" and have temporarily done so when in chat rooms. No, I don't immediately want to bow before you and suck on your massive cock.

I named myself in haste after the AOL handle one of my characters would have if she existed. I'm not really that fond of it, since I haven't written a story that involves her IMing or emailing anyone, so that it seems very obscure, but I have no ideas as to what to change to. I have other handles for other forums I hang out in, and I like them all better than the one I have for this one.

I would not change my Lit name...Lady_Guenivere has a very personal meaning for me. I would answer to Lady_G, but I think that there is someone else here with that nickname.:)

Mine's grown on me in my short time here, and it's the penname I used for the only story I have in print. Besides, I think it suits my personality (or maybe just my persona).

My Lit name is a result of flaming noob stupidity. It was an e-mail designation given to me by a former ISP. When asked for a Lit name I typed it in by mistake. *sigh*

So TE or Tom I shall remain. :D
