Would you consider changing your lit name?

Thee: What does you name refer to?

XsNrg: I don't do obvious and I'm ALWAYS stumped by bumper stumpers. How's abouts sounding it out for me?

Sound it out.

X (ex)

S (ess)

N (en)

R (er)

G (gee)

Got it now? :)

Thee: What does you name refer to?

Yeap. I really should bookmark this explanation...

I was sitting at home watching TV, and flipping through channels. I made a lewd comment about an attractive woman in a commercial as my younger brother was passing by, and he called me a pig. In an attempt to prove him right, I tried to make a pig sound, but it came out more of a goat sound. "So which are you, a goat or a pig?" my brother asks me. "Both!" I exclaim as I continue flipping through channels. He then made a comment about me being a goat pig, and walked out of the house to go over to a friend's place.

It took me a year to start using it as a screen name. When I tired to sign up for an IM account, Goat Pig was already taken. "Curious," I thought to myself. I tried variations on the spelling, but none of them felt correct. So one day it clicks in my head. "I'm not just a goat pig. I'm not even the goat pig. I'm Thee Goat Pig. The one and only, and original Thee Goat (motherfucking) Pig!" So I tried again to sign up an IM name as Thee Goat Pig and this time it stuck.

And there are the origins of my name :D

I'd get rid of the _underline_ in mine, added because I was used to sites that didn't allow spaces.

Other than that, I'm good. ;)

If I'd of known it was case sensitive, I would've capitalized my name, but it works fine as is :)

I can't even imagine where the R would fit. ThreeGoatPig? ThereGoatPig? TheeGoatPrig? Would make no sense either way.

People used to think his name was ThreeGoatPig for some reason :p I remember it.. I always saw it as "Thee" because I've always liked the word "thee" :p

As Tolyk said, they make it "Three" instead of "Thee". They just can't comprehend that it isn't numerical, and insist that I should be triplets (oh god, that's scary, one of me is bad enough  ).

Yeah, I'd change it in a heartbeat. I get plenty of PMs that begin, "So, how buxom are you?" When I registered, I never dreamed I'd write; when I began to write, I never dreamed I'd post; when I got to 100 posts, I never dreamed I'd make 1000. I think it's more of a female thing, I don't know if Box gets messages about his name (I should ask!) or anyone else for that matter.

Other places, I'm known as Luna, but there were so many Lunas here. I do have one alt, Fetch and Carry, that has seldom seen use.

I don't think I'd change anything unless it were to switch to a more conventional pseudonym (of course, I'd have to pick one first). That or to drop out the underscore.

Otherwise, Emperor_Nero (or just Nero) have become part of me. It symbolizes a place I was when I first came here when things seemed to be burning and crumbling around me and remind me that I have moved past that. I even have pictures of myself with a statue of Nero and of me standing in front of a Cafe Nero ... and the pictures weren't my idea.

Nope! I'm tricialen everywhere and Tricia is my real name. That makes it very easy to remember ;)

I've had Bostonfictionwriter since I've had an e-mail account. I also have fictionwriterboston. I chose that because I write fiction about Boston.

The only way that I'd change my name is if I moved and I've been thinking about it lately. Boston gets some pretty nasty weather in the winter.

The names I've been considering are Beverlyhillsfictionwriter and Malibufictionwriter. All rumors that I've been considering Iraqifictionwriter, Afghanfictionwriter, and prisonfictionwriter are untrue.

I once considered changing it to Pamelaandersonfictionwriter and Angelinajoliefictionwriter, but we broke up in both cases before I could make the change.

I'll keep you posted if anything new develops, only don't hold your breath.

Lastly, I would change my name to remove the caps, if I knew how to do that. I didn't realize the cap lock was on when I registered for this site.

BFW - when I see your name, I picture you as a newspaper writer - from the name and the caps. Without knowing anything else about you, I would think you write horror. The name is kinda serious. And I could be completely wrong. I don't think it would have as much emphasis without the caps - I like the caps.

TheeGP - Yeah, guilty. I think for about a year I thought it was a 3. After hearing your blurb, I like that you went with Thee instead of something like King :D

Vermillion - fantastic choice.

Liar - yeah, being one of those in RL, I always really appreciated your name!

Stella - love the name, and love the photo - it is such a study in contrasts. And where the hell did you get the headpeice, I want one!

Dr M - sounds like you would have problems getting the shoe on? :D

XsNrg - this is what I mean, I would associate something else completely with your name, like Mrs Ex. It took me a while to figure it out!

(I should add, just posted in my alt!)

Hi Princessjennie and welcome. I know another Jennie from Oz, only she's Queenjennie. Any relation? Don't answer that if you want to remain anonymous. It was only a rhetorical question anyway.

Insert humor instead of horror and that's me. Everything I write is with tongue firmly planted in cheek. Even this that I'm writing now is funny because I'm not wearing pants. Writing is alway funnier when you aren't wearing pants. Only, I really shouldn't be sitting in McDonalds without pants.

"Hey, don't take those fries. I'm still eating those. What's that? No, I'm not homeless, I'm just writing some funny stuff here on my laptop. Pardon? No, I didn't steal it. It's my laptop. Why aren't I wearing pants? You can't write comedy while wearing pants."

I gotta go. He called the cops on me.

That could account for some very odd messages at times........;)

I picked my name because he was my favourite Transformer as a kid...

And I love the way Simon Furman wrote his character...

Change it??? I just got it!

And after months of lurking.

Anyway, depends on what you're offering .. .

If I changed it at all I'd add The at the beginning.

It took me ages to come up with the name and it fits me admirably.

Like my RL name there are very few of us about (In england anyway) And as far as I can tell there is only one gauchecritic on the entire interwebs. Except possibly someone at AskJolene whose name is mine and is in a list of my stories but the stories aren't mine.

I'm keeping mine because it matches JBJ's avatar. :D

I have this one, because the site claimed the one I use elsewhere wasn't available here. (Which I don't understand, as there's no other poster registered in that name.)

My name predates the internet. I've written under it since I wrote songs and poetry in high school.

And like my girlfriend, the shortened version has become a part of me. If you yelled my real first name in a mall, I would look around in a relaxed manner. It's so common. "Bel" would get my attention immediately...

No, I like my name. It fits me and I even have a nickname, "Witchy".
